He may have said it artlessly, but his point is a good one. They ought to have let some other cutout meet with the Russian, and then dump any information to the internet to be picked up by the press. That way, if there was any good information there, Trump’s fingerprints would not be on it.
Now, Clinton tried to do the same, letting her lawyers pay Fusion to pay the Russians (if we believe the Russians actually had anything to do with the Dossier...) I notice, though, that the press is entirely uninterested in actual cases of collusion. Clinton, Obama, Russians, Fusion, Joule, Podesta Group, Uranium One, the Foundation, FBI and Justice, a big incestuous group colluding and conspiring, with money and favors flowing back and forth.
But it isn’t treason to meet with foreigners in the course of a campaign. Bannon is getting unhinged again. Unhelpful.
