Lately there sure has been a lot of townhall.com here on freerepublic. Are the two joining? Just asking.
I'm an American expat living in Spain. I posted about the move here if you're interested in reading about it.
And to you as well ..... may the new year be kind to you and this Christmas give ya time for being grateful for the blessings we have ........
Very grateful for your friendship.

If FR had a “like” button, I’d be clicking it for your post.
Perhaps, even a thread cleanser and judger and jerk.
If you don't like some content, aren't you mature enough to move to the next one? Or even better, post what you like from sources that you think would add to the discussion.
But I guess it is easier to cast aspersions on others.
Townhall will lean conservative for a time then lean way to the left before elections.
I knew that some of our frequent posters of articles were living in other countries; I didn’t know that you were one of them. Personally, I LOVE that you guys post stuff at all hours...and I don’t care who is the source. I tend to have awful insomnia, and I’m glad to have new articles coming in when I’m wide awake at 3 a.m. I don’t really post threads myself because I’m generally using my cell phone, rather than my computer, and I find posting threads a big pain in the rear that way. So please keep posting articles, even from sucky Townhall; the lazy insomniacs like myself appreciate it! :)
There are some over zealous posters that seem to think Yownhall is the bee’s knees
One of the worst offenders
I don’t value ex-pats
I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I've never posted anything to Breaking News or Front Page.
Oh, BTW, my previous post wasnt to you.
It doesn't really matter, this has come up before so it's a good opportunity to set the record straight.
Just as there are people like Humblegunner who police the bloggers looking for hits there are people who go after posters who put stuff in Breaking News or Front Page that they don't consider to be worthy, and they aren't afraid to let you know about it. The last time I heard from one of these posters we figured out that my post ended up in Breaking News right after Jim Robinson commented on the thread.
Well now you know what posts to ignore.
There is a phenomenon of FR known as the posting pests. You have come to their attention. There is new hardware in development to detect and eradicate them
Stay tuned,
(I will be away from 22 Dec until 02 Jan. During my absence all of my posts and replies will be done be a new app called PostBot. As this is a beta version please excuse any foul language, personal attacks, and baseless accusations. I will resume control on 02 Jan. Merry Christmas!)
Free Republic is Free Republic!
As an open forum we often link to sites of worth and Town Hall is a site of worth as many others.
And the problem is?????
That's cheating!
Further, I lurked for 13 years so I *think* I can discern what FReepers may or may not like. Nonetheless, as a "noob" I "know my place" (plus I'm still in the workforce and haven't the time to find compelling material) and many of us rely on vets to source material; if that comes from retired expats or wives of servicemen so be it (thank you). Someone's gotta do it and if it's an 80/20 rule who cares.
Finally, my guess is CNN, Fox, WaPo, The Slimes, Breitbart, and NR make up a disproportionate amount of underlying content but nobody is vanity posting on that front.
As George Carlin/Al Sleet the hippy-dippy weatherman said, if you don't like the weather, move.
I agree. FR is best when lots of people are posting stuff they find. We shouldn’t be relying on such a small slice of Freepers to pull the article posting cart. A good New Years resolution would be to post more articles. I think I’m going to try doing that myself.
I thought the columnists on townhall were often syndicated, so I don’t think it is a website of one slant or another, just what the columnist writes. They have Larry Elder who campaigned for Trump last year.
When people talked about amnesty and immigration, perhaps the columnists were Bush-loyalists but I would not take it as a reflection on all of their writers.
I agree, it does look a bit tedious when it is one townhall article after another. We need to post other materials.
