1951, A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim and 1983, A Christmas Story are two of my favorites.

There has only been 2 or 3 really good Christmas movies that suited me.
A couple of the older Dickens ones and “A Christmas Story”.
None of the popular ones were any good to me.

Their list is OK, but I'd definitely change the order.
It's A Wonderful Life should be #1, and the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol should be no lower than #3.
I'm really not a fan of the modern goofy ones like National Lampoon and Home Alone.

One of my favorites is Bob Hope in “The Lemon Drop Kid” based on a Damon “Guys and Dolls” Runyan story. Among other notables in the cast are Jane Darwell, William “Fred Mertz” Frawley, Fred Clark and LLoyd Nolan.
Marilyn Maxwell and Bob Hope introduce the famous “Silver Bells” Christmas tune. This picture is really a little known gem.

Many years ago The Al Jolson Story was a popular movie for the season, even tho Jolson was Jewish. It was an excellent movie, and a big box office success. Great music.
It has long since been banned as politically incorrect, as it portrayed Jolson in black face, which was an accurate depiction of Jolson’s performances.
