I also like Oldman in True Romance. Small but incredible role. Great acting.
Hard to believe that this is the same actor who appeared in "True Romance".
Now that Daniel Day-Lewis is retired, a case can be made that Oldman is the best living actor.

I havent seen it. i will have to check it out.
It also contains the greatest 3 minutes of filmmaking ever between Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken. A very young James Gandolfini has a supporting role.
Its worth a watch.

The corrupt and flaked-out DEA agent in
The Professional. He oozed menace in every scene.

What was the point of saving Britain from German Nazis, only tol hand it over to a different, even WORSE group of Muslim Nazis? The UK is NOT worthy to celebrate Churchill.

Norman Stansfield: I told you. Benny, bring me everyone.
Benny: What do you mean “everyone”?
Norman Stansfield: EV-ERY-ONE!!
That scene was awesome.

I don’t think anyone holds a candle to him in playing “Over the Top!”
Between Zorg from “The Fifth Element” and Stansfield in “The Professional,” he can be overwhelming. But it’s done in a way that actually complements the movie.
At the same time, he can play subtle very well. In fact, he’s able to completely disappear into his roles. He was amazing in “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.” I thought he absolutely nailed the character of “Sirius Black” in the Harry Potter series, where he played both over the top and subtle over a couple of movies.

Here is a shorter version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDJ8ocSN5GE Love one of the comments: How the f@#k has this man not won an Oscar yet? The man has more range than the Voyager space probe.

Gary Oldman has more range than the Voyager space problem. I am convinced the man can divide by zero.

I humbly recommend to anyone interested reading Churchill's war volumes (if you haven't already.)
His own words. Meticulously documented. Takes you through the entire war from pre-war times (Gathering Storm) to the end.(Triumph and Tragedy).
I read them all last year, borrowed from my local library. Incredible experience. You won't regret it. Let the man himself tell you all about it.

If it ever opens. I keep seeing the release date pushed back. Scheduled a date night with my wife for the last date I saw announced, Dec 2. Now I won’t bother unless I actually see it on the theater website with on-line ticket ordering for that day.

Movies like this, and Dunkirk, make me immensely sad, as those people so bravely saved their island, only to have their progeny give it away to a barbaric race. There will always be an England, but not in England.
