Big news folks, though talk is disgraced NFL Commissar Roger "The Clown" Goodell is about to get a new contract, I've gotten word of another contender for the post. Captain...Smith is it? Welcome.

"Thank you for allowing me this interview, Mr. Hearst."

Um....the name's Impy. William Randolph Hearst is quite deceased I'm afraid.

"Sorry, I've been out of it for a while, my corprse was only just reanimated by a charming redhead."

"Don't mention it."

So Captain, why do you think you are qualified to lead the NFL?

"Well, I have 17 years experience in Her Majesty Queen Victoria's Royal Naval Reserve and 25 years experience commanding sea-going vessels for the White Star Line of Boston Packers. While using the services of your great American wizard, Google, to try and acertain my chances of regaining my position with the company, I discovered they went out of business. I also discovered a sport ball team called the Green Bay Packers and heard about what a ridiculous circus clown is leading your NFL. Since ships are powered by witchcraft nowadays I figured leading your NFL would be the next best thing to sailing the ocean blue. The only thing I don't understand is why your footballs are misshapen and the players wear armor whilst commiting numerous hand ball fouls. But I'll figure it out in time, I should think. I couldn't do worse than this knobgobbler, Goodell. I did get 1500 people drowned but....come on, right?"

Wow, well best of luck Captain Smith, I hope you get the gig.

We're a little short on time today so that will have to do. Here on the homefront my Bears are facing the San Francisco Soapy Niners. They've gotta win right? Right? Belly Button Chick?

"If they don't I'm defecting to Green Bay!"

I saw on the Denver news this morning, the Broncos are sucking so bad, season ticket holders are trying to sell their tickets but nobody wants to buy them.

If it were any other team, I’d pick them. But I can’t ... won’t ... pick the deadskins. It goes against everything I believe in ... or something like that. Cowboys suck, but they’ll beat those deadskins one way or another.
Miami sucks more than the Cowboys. Denver sucks morer. Phins win at home.
Ravens.
Old Oilers beat the new Oilers.
Jags.
Chiefs get back to winning in NY.
Vikes.
BiLLLLs pull off the divisional upset.
9ers have won their one game this season. Bears.
Battle of the Bays ... not much of a battle this year. Packers.
Browns are hopeless. Bolts.
Ain’ts.
Rams.
Raiders.
Philly.
Stillers.

Just can’t do it..and it does hurt me as a person that, this thing I used to love is still being embraced by otherwise good people, even though the losers doing the fake protesting are traitors to our country.

Week 13! The playoff picture is beginning to solidify. As for my picks... well, last week the Browns let me down and the Saints too in having their win streak stopped in LA. And those Cardinals?! So... here we go!

Thursday, Nov 30, 2017 (All times Eastern)

Washington at Dallas 8:25 pm NFLN (& NBC) AT&T Stadium What has happened to the Cowboys? They have totally fallen apart. While the Redskins are not the Redskins of the halcyon Gibbs days, with Kirk Cousins they still have an outside shot at the postseason. Redskins.

Sunday, Dec 3, 2017

Denver at Miami 1:00 pm FOX Hard Rock Stadium Denver made a game of it last week, and even threw in a near-riot against the Silver-and-Black. Miami.... who can figure? Now that the season is a write-off for the Broncos, maybe they'll actually play better? Broncos.

Detroit at Baltimore 1:00 pm FOX M&T Bank Stadium The Ravens have won two in a row, against an Aaron Rodgers-less Packers, and a Deshaun Watson-less Texans. The Lions on the other hand have Matthew Stafford and can definitely put up points, which the Ravens have a problem doing. Lions.

Houston at Tennessee 1:00 pm CBS Nissan Stadium Tennessee does just enough each week to win against lesser opponents - see last week versus the Colts. But the Texans are just too depleted. Titans.

Indianapolis at Jacksonville 1:00 pm CBS EverBank Field The Jacksonville D, the Colts anemic offense... Jax dines on Indianapolis. Jaguars.

Kansas City at N.Y. Jets 1:00 pm CBS MetLife Stadium The Chiefs.... 5 - 0 start and 1 - 5 since then. Normally I would say a trip to New York to play the Jets would be just what the doctor ordered, but I said that two weeks ago when they played the Giants. And lost. But this time they get it right. Chiefs.

Minnesota at Atlanta 1:00 pm FOX Mercedes-Benz Stadium Minnesota is rolling. And the Falcons seem to be getting back on track too. I'm still not sold on Case Keenum, whereas Matt Ryan is more of a proven winner and a known quantity. Plus Julio Jones. Plus paying at home. Plus Minnesota can more afford a loss... Falcons.

New England at Buffalo 1:00 pm CBS New Era Field Way back when New England was 2 - 2. Now they are 9 - 2. Buffalo has been the very definition of inconsistency, and while they have been good at home that won't be enough against Tom and Company. Patriots.

San Francisco at Chicago 1:00 pm CBS Soldier Field San Fran with Garrapolo.... hmmm.. Yeah, even though the Bears have been trending slightly up, I like the Niners here. Niners.

Tampa Bay at Green Bay 1:00 pm FOX Lambeau Field Can Green Bay get one win with Bret Hundley? They can this week at home against the Bucs. Packers.

Cleveland at L.A. Chargers 4:05 pm CBS StubHub Center The Chargers will continue their playoff run against the woebegone Browns. Chargers.

Carolina at New Orleans 4:25 pm FOX Mercedes-Benz Superdome The home field advantage gives the Saints the edge here. Saints.

L.A. Rams at Arizona 4:25 pm FOX University of Phoenix Stadium Rams righted things after the Minnesota loss against the Saints last week. And the Cardinals... nah.Rams.

N.Y. Giants at Oakland 4:25 pm FOX Oakland Coliseum Geno Smith.... Eli Manning... it doesn't matter. Raiders.

Philadelphia at Seattle 8:30 pm NBC CenturyLink Field A big test for Carson Wentz and the Iggles. Seattle ain't the intimidating bunch they use to be. Eagles.

Monday, Dec 4, 2017

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati 8:30 pm ESPN Paul Brown Stadium The Steelers have been playing just good enough to win.... see last week's fifty-something yard FG to win at the last second against the Packers. Cincy... Will Pittsburgh blow it? I don't think so. Steelers.

And as for the college games this week...

Auburn beats Georgia.... again.

Ohio State beats Wisconsin.

Clemson beats Miami.

USC beats Stanford.

Oklahoma beats TCU.

I'll leave the playoff choices to the committee.
