I think he did a great deal of good for our relations with other nations. As I’ve said before, people can respect him both for his accomplishments, and for his nature.
He has a ‘gravitas’ that may not be fully understood by many of the brainwashed and ignorant in his own country; but it is grasped elsewhere.
