Lost potential is a common theme of Kennedy-family lore. It's hard not to imagine what Bobby, President Kennedy, and JFK Jr. might have accomplished, had they not died so young.
John Jr. would be making a run for the White House right now, if he were still alive. At least, that's what Jackie Kennedy's former personal assistant thinks.
"If her brother wasnt gone, hed probably be running for president," Kathy McKeon said in a new, wide-ranging profile of Caroline Kennedy in Avenue magazine.
"When Caroline was growing up, she always said she wanted to be a wife and mother, and she is a very good mother. But the Kennedys are go-getters who never give up, and after John died, I think Caroline had that sense of duty in her to follow in her fathers footsteps, and I believe shell pull it off," McKeon continued.
"I really think she might be the first lady president."
One supporter even went so far to say that Kennedy is "the next Hillary Clinton, but without Hillarys baggage."

Many have speculated that more promising option for continuing the family political legacy would be to help her son Jack Kennedy Schlossberg become the new face of the Kennedy dynasty.
"My bet is that Caroline knows that and will make the smart move and run Jack," one Clinton-camp insider said about the future Congressional races in New York. "The boy is 24. He has the magical Kennedy name."
"Female voters will love him."

He probably would have won.............unless he had run against our wonderful POTUS Donald J Trump.
He would have run for NY Senator in 2000.................
rofl, anyone who has ever heard Caroline Kennedy try to speak in public knows she is an embarrassment. Without her family name she would never ever be discussed in relation to public office. She tried to become a US Senator from NY, and even that heavily liberal state wouldn’t nominate her, never mind elect her.
Hed have run for President. Not if Hillary had anything to say about it

Bull-loney.
He was 39 years old when he died. He was never active in politics. He lived a playboy lifestyle.
However......
Shrub was 40 when he first got into office. And how old was Bammie when he started to play politics as a junior senator?
So - I guess John John could have made a go at it.
The whole Kennedy thing from JKF on was style over substance. They were all style, no substance.
Nevertheless, Teddy Kennedy earned himself the distinction as being one of the most destructive figures to American culture and well being in history. The Kennedy’s lacked a moral compass which made the their substance-less style very destructive.
JFK, Jr. would have been a disaster to America. I believe God possibly removed him for that reason.
I don’t think Hillary would have much of a chance against him in the primaries. He would likely have been more appealing to a lot of people.
They’re all banking on the name
That’s all American politics did not and still does not need - another political dynasty.
Assassinated
Was it rumored that he was going to run for NY Senate at the time of his crash? HRC anyone?

Hey Chels and Caroline, people always fall asleep whenever you speak. And speaking in 107+ word sentences doesn’t make you sound intelligent!
I remember when Caroline was thinking of running for the Senate and she quickly dropped out. She was highly offended by the ususal background checks and queries into her personal life. Shen dropped out after about 2 or 3 months LMAO.
Arkanacide against the internal competition.
Please! God didnt remove Clinton or Obama. Why start with this guy?
I think politics would have interfered with his philandering. What a minute, scratch that.
Arkancide? Like Foster, like Brown, like the Justice,
like Rich .... everyone knows who did it, but the
DO”J” was paid off -— in full.
Question? Did he ever pass the NY bar exam? If not, is that why he started a magazine rather that becoming a high-priced lawyer in NY?
