Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke Sunday at a rally Times Square in support of American Muslims. He says it's important to look beyond stereotypes and stand in solidarity with Muslims, who are a part of our country's fabric.

Many Americans like myself also object to distinguishing communism much from fascism or monarchy. Governments with all of those labels and enough resources have tended to become expansionist dictatorships, repeatedly threatening to devour their neighbors and become evil empires.

All of them have either tried to abolish religion or use it as a tool for extreme, police state control to keep most economic and military properties and other assets under the control of a more or less dynastic faction.
