You got that right. She hates conservatives last time I recall her having some stupid thing to say about Bush and the Iraq War. Then again, when I hear “Somewhere Out there” from American Tail which I watched as a kid, it brings back memories.
And Clint Eastwood doesn’t like his movies. Maybe I’ll go through the Dirty Harry series!
But that was when I thought I moved to the beat of a different drummer.
Now that I know that everybody hates them, maybe it's time to rethink things.
>>I have never heard anything she sang after 1979.<<
She was one hell of a Mariachi singer for many years — arguably one of the best ever.
Really good Mariachi is a lot of fun to listen to — a buffet for the ears.
Crappy mariachi (like what you get in restaurants and strolling bands in Mexico) is an affront on the ears.
She has Parkinson’s.
She can’t sing any more..................
Sad. She seems to be in a really blue funk. If she doesn’t know Jesus, I pray she will.
“Heart Like Wheel” has some of the best arrangements with Andrew Gold almost a one-man-band backing her up superbly. The arrangements are awesome.
I saw her in Detroit on the river front a few years back.
My bad.
Shows how cute girls turn so unattractive with such weight gain. Sad.
I’m sure he meant back in the days when she was touring. Since she has Parkinson’s she can barely talk let alone sing.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
We all liked the Stone Poneys while I was overseas.
Her autobiography (which she actually wrote entirely by herself) tells a little different story, but then ones feelings can certainly change over time, especially when beset by a serious disease and probably carrying a heavy burden.
Her politics stink and yet until fairly recently she practiced the art of “shut up and sing”, and as a result built up a base of fans from all political stripes. It really doesn’t matter if the artist likes their own work or not, if they were just doing it for self-satisfaction they never would have released anything to the public. And millions of people do.
I liked her “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
oh my God, take it back. You just shattered my childhood memories...And I though Carrie Fisher hadn’t aged well.
I liked her singing in Spanish. As as a person, not so much.
Seems to me that the Stones’ “Beast of Burden” was Jagger’s etude to her. That’s what I heard back in the day...
Well then I suppose she would not have any tours planned, guess his chat confused me
Interesting. Jagger and her were together at one point? That guy was with a lot of cute chicks.
Because he could sing.....even black people be going, "He got some big-ass lips."
