FR was not blocked by Best Buy this morning. This afternoon it is. Geek Squad says they've seen this before. Something was posted between this morning and afternood that triggered the corporate algorithm.

I've used Best Buy wifi in the past for both far left, far right and centrist websites, including some with content far more offensive than FR. This is the first time I've seen a corporate filter of political sites.
How common is this? Am I paranoid to fear that Corporatism is gradually removing our freedoms? Under corporatism does everyone become a snowflake?

Depends...did you click on something that said “accept terms of use”?

All internet services need to be declared “public carriers” and be required to carry *all* Traffic whether they like it or not.

Are you saying you’re using BB’s wi-fi? If so, they can do what they want. Your ‘freedom’ is not an entitlement.

If it’s free wifi then you get what you pay for.

Yes, that’s quite true, but I still want to know that they as a company would block FR.
Can’t tell the scumbags without a scorecard.

1. This isn’t news
2. Stop trying to connect at Best Buy.
Grab your stuff and get out.
3. Where you can or cannot connect to FR does not equal news.
4. The Best Buy Police are outside your house.

They are a company that sells Monster cables and pushes worthless add-on warranties. The scorecard is already in, don’t shop at BB.

They’re grossly overpriced (like at least 3 times other brands with no possible difference in quality) and for a while was the only brand of cabling BB stocked.

They're not removing our freedoms but they are working very hard to change our way of life. They want us to all get along... do your best to get along without them.

I have been waiting over a decade for an advertised rebate form them. I have blocked any purchases, reading any adds of theirs and such until they do the right thing.

At work I get the content filtering at certain sites. We would need to fill out a form we have and list the sites we want to view like gmail, yahoo email, youtube etc. If approved then you are whitelisted for those sites.
