Fine, after we’re through in Amherst, we can start renaming schools, parks, towns, etc. named to honor that famous and vile racist, Woodrow Wilson.

Like football teams in college towns will be renamed after plants and birds.

Bust out the popcorn as the sane people will have plenty of entertainment watching the infinite libtard factions that populate Amherst (and not too distant Northampton) go toe-to-toe over what to name it.
Moonbatburg is my choice.

Okay, we’ll call it Custerville.......

many cities in Cal need to be renamed since they are named after catholic saints
Start here: Felipe de Neve, Governor of Spanish California, names the settlement El Pueblo Sobre el Rio de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula

So “Bowen” whoever he is or whatever he is finally, after 39 years of pondering finally got the balls to write a letter? Very, very bold (eye roll) but what changed? Why now, Bowen, whoever you are?

It can’t be Truth or Consequences; NM has already grabbed that name! Will they rename the college too? People in MA are known for doing peculiar things.

The earliest known document of the lands now comprising Amherst is the deed of purchase dated December 1658 between John Pynchon of Springfield and three native inhabitants, referred to as Umpanchla, Quonquont, and Chickwalopp. According to the deed, "ye Indians of Nolwotogg (Norwottuck) upon ye River of Quinecticott (Connecticut)" sold the entire area in exchange for "two Hundred fatham of Wampam & Twenty fatham, and one large Coate at Eight fatham wch Chickwollop set of, of trusts, besides severall small giftes" [sic]. Wikipedia
Chickwalopp would be appropriate, though probably too sexist.
Northampton was also called Norwottuck or Nonotuck, but some variant of Quonquont might be fitting.

Let’s just call towns by their numbers.
You know, like town 451, city 62, like that.
And most of the states have offensive names, you know, like names of “idigenous” people who were slaughtered by the awful White Europeans oppressors.
We can call them by numbers, too, by the order in which they entered the Union.
So, instead of Boston, Massachusetts, we can have City-1, State-4, something like that.
How deliciously Orwellian THAT would be. It would make duckpeak ever more efficient.

Once again the Indians are portrayed as peaceful dolts.
When looked at in context, the local Indian population was known for butchery. There are places in Deerfield and around Springfield that still have names dating back to those days: Things like “bloody brook.” There are burial mounds in Deerfield where the butchered settlers were buried.
I guess you could debate the process of British settlement of the area. But there is no debate about the absolute savagery of the local “docile” native people.
