Trump asked Sessions about closing case against Arpaio, an ally since ‘birtherism’

As Joseph Arpaio’s federal case headed toward trial this past spring, President Trump wanted to act to help the former Arizona county sheriff who had become a campaign-trail companion and a partner in their crusade against illegal immigration.

The president asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions whether it would be possible for the government to drop the criminal case against Arpaio, but was advised that would be inappropriate, according to three people with knowledge of the conversation.

After talking with Sessions, Trump decided to let the case go to trial, and if Arpaio was convicted, he could grant clemency.

Trump and Arpaio became brothers in arms five years ago. As they saw it, the two provocateurs — one a celebrity real estate developer, the other a polarizing sheriff — were pursuing justice in the form of supposed evidence that Obama’s birth certificate was fraudulent.

“There was no collusion,” Arpaio said in an interview Saturday. “I started my birth certificate investigation around the same time he did his.”

The Manhattan mogul sent Arpaio a fan letter and flattered him on social media. “Congratulations to @RealSheriffJoe on his successful Cold Case Posse investigation which claims @BarackObama’s ‘birth certificate’ is fake,” Trump tweeted in 2012.

Three years later, in July 2015, when Trump swooped into Arpaio’s hometown of Phoenix for the first mega-rally of his upstart presidential campaign, the sheriff returned the favor by testifying on stage to “the silent majority” that Trump had begun to awaken.

Backstage at that rally, Arpaio recalled, the two men talked about their shared birthday — June 14, which is Flag Day. Their friendship blossomed and Arpaio became a fan favorite at Trump rallies. “I had a gut feeling that he was going to win,” Arpaio said.

I realize that you and I hold different views of the Seattle situation. Realistically, I’m not going to change your perspective, and you’re not going to change mine. We’ll just continue to see it from different POVs.

I’m sure you’ve seen this before, but I’ll paste it anyway. It’s a 1961-62 Polk’s Directory listing for Ann S. Obama at the residence of her parents in Honolulu. I’ve also told you the story of my college roommate whose name was, ‘Ann,’ and who modified it to, ‘Anna,’ as soon as she moved onto campus. Simply put, I don’t believe Ann S. Obama and Anna Obama are two different people. The odds are incalculable.

‘In a separate listing, Ann S. Obama, Obama’s mother, is identified as a student living at the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address; Barack H. Obama, her husband, is listed as a student living at 625 11th Avenue.’

Leave the door open for Ann S Obama being a foreign student perhaps renting a room at the Pratt/Dunham residence, while Stanley Ann Dunham was already in Chicago living with her maternal uncle who was deputy director of the university library. Allow for the possibility that Ann S Obama shows up at the Seattle address in time for the entry in the 1961 Polk as Anna Obama.
At that point in time, all they have in common is the name ANN. As in Stanley ANN and perhaps ANN in Hawaii and ANNA in Seattle.
Anna Obama is the woman the Kenyan wrote home about that he had married. She had a son he also wrote home about - (according to aunt Zeituni, who later lived with the kenyan and Ruth in Nairobi and cared for their children)...ANN/ANNA had a child babysat by Mary in January 1961.

And if Stanley Ann Dunham did visit Susan Botkin/Blake late in August 1961 with a very young baby, both Anna Obama and her child were living at the Capitol Hill address. AT THE SAME TIME.

Cindy Pratt told David Maraniss that Stanley Ann/Ann S. Obama lived at the Kalanianaole Highway address prior to the pregnancy. Cindy described a “makeshift room,” in the hallway outside the Dunham’s room.

Having read Cindy’s comments, as transcribed by Maraniss, I can’t picture her as some kind of super-liar/conspiracy-enabler. She came across as artlessly honest, imo.

There's no need to think that Cindy Pratt may have lied to Maraniss. She remembered a girl at the Pratt/Dunham address. She, and Maraniss assumed her name was Ann S Obama student as shown in the Polk directory. The question remains, was Ann S Obama Stanley Ann Dunham?

In late 1960 Ann S Obama was living at that address, in time to be included in the Polk directory for 1961. She was also enrolled at the university for Fall 1960. We are expected to assume that enrolment was for Stanley Ann.

But Stanley Ann Dunham was nowhere in sight, she wasn't at the Mercer Island high school to graduate Class of 1960 in the summer, she was in Chicago, and according to Dreams, saw the film Black Orpheus which was released in December 1959.

Dreams also tells you she didn't want to go to Hawaii with her parents, she had been accepted to attend the university in Chicago, where just by coincidence, not mentioned in the book, her maternal uncle was deputy director of the library, and lived in Hyde Park. Madelyn also had a sister named Margaret who had a connection to the same university...

It's just a theory. No harm done if no one agrees or can't see what seems obvious to me.

I looked for Cindy’s comments to Maraniss and all I could find was this:

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2012/06/maraniss_bio_deepens_obama_birth_mystery.html

“Maraniss hints at where home was not — namely, the residence her parents shared with the Pratt family at 6085 Kalanianole Highway, the address listed on the birth certificate. As Maraniss relates, the Pratt daughter, then an adolescent, “has no memory of the Dunhams’ daughter bringing an infant home.” He adds, “[Ann] and Obama and the infant never lived [at 6085 Kalanianole].”

As I do not have access to the book, perhaps you could quote from it, exactly what she said to Maraniss. Thanks.

Reid Hayes in Hawaii and the forensic laboratory in Italy prepared confidential reports commissioned by Sheriff Arpaio and owned by him. The reports “courtroom ready” are intended to be presented to a grand jury or court of law only and not to the general public. Premature release of what is in the reports would tip off Barry’s lawyers to what is coming and possibly result in destruction of evidence.

Since the chances of a grand jury being convened on this hover somewhere between zilch and none then why not release it to the general public? If, of course, there is actually anything to release.

Just as an aside. I don’t take a word of Dreams seriously, including the, ‘ands,’ and the, ‘thes,’. It’s the last source I would consult if I wanted facts. Every fact that’s checkable has been shown to be a lie. The only, ‘facts,’ that remain are those that haven’t been absolutely disproven...yet.

Stanley Ann Dunham [i.e.: her memory] is annually feted as the most illustrious Mercer Island HS graduate to this day. I won’t ask you to believe she graduated with her class if you won’t ask me to believe she didn’t. I hope that suffices.

I would be happy to search for Cindy’s additional comments. They’re in my posting history if nowhere else (online). However, before I go to that time and trouble, let me ask you something: would it matter? If it’s clear that Cindy Pratt is talking about Stanley Ann Dunham, and Cindy establishes that SAD lived at the Kalanianaole Highway address prior to the pregnancy, would it change anything? Would you alter your theory?

If your answer is no, then why not cut out the middle man (so to speak). I’ll save some time and you’ll lose nothing. (I.e.: if your theory remains unaltered regardless of what Cindy said, then you haven’t missed out on anything that matters.)

For now, I’ll reiterate a conversation we once had. I mentioned that Maraniss is an old hand at interviewing sources. How this fact applies to Cindy is as follows. Maraniss wouldn’t have sat down with her and asked, ‘Did anyone by the name of, ‘Ann,’ ever live with you at the Kalanianaole Highway address? How about an, ‘Ann Obama?’

Maraniss was researching Barack Hussein Obama. At the time of the Dunham’s move to Honolulu, Obama’s mother was known as Stanley Ann Dunham. That would have been her name for the majority of the time she resided at the Kalanianaole Highway address. That’s who Maraniss would have asked Cindy about—the daughter of Stanley and Madelyn Dunham.

Maraniss is an Obot but he’s not a moron. He wouldn’t be where he is, reputation-wise, if he couldn’t even identify the person about whom he was gathering information. Any theory that requires him to be too stupid to identify to Cindy Pratt the exact Stanley Ann he was interested in just will not fly.

I agree, and I believe that the biggest misdirection in the case, is SAD's time in Chicago.

My personal belief is this.
1) After graduation, SAD goes to Chicago, where she intends to attend UofC in the fall.
2) SAD becomes pregnant during the summer, and her parents bring her to Hawaii.
3) SAD attend UofH fall semester 61.
4) In early spring 61, while ~7 months pregnant, SAD travels to WA.
5) Late spring 61, SAD travels to Canada to give birth, where she does not specify a father. My assumption for why she goes to Canada, is that she does not what her child to be American.
6) SAD's impetuous decision to give birth in Canada creates problems when she finds out that the situations - her being under 19, and no father specified on BC - leads to her child not being a legal US resident.
7) SAD's parents present a at home birth certificate, and enlist the help of Barrack Obama Sr in the ruse. They get him to agree to claim to be the father of the baby, to present evidence that baby was his, and was in fact born in HA. This leads to Sr's inconsistent claims of fatherhood.

The above is my person belief as to why Obama was forced to present a fraudulent birth certificate.

Sessions has only been in office for a few months and Arpaio has just been clears of his legal difficulties and, according to Mike Zullo, is now free to restart the push in the new Trump Administration to PROPERLY investigate Barry’s background information in the federal databases with the possible help instead of obstruction of the Attorney General.

It's not what we believe that influences anything, I'm going by the fact that her classmates have all lost their yearbooks, those that were in the high school library 'were stolen' and her image supposedly from 'the yearbook' was cropped in such a way that none of the other students could be identified. It simply looks suspiciously like she wasn't there after December 1959, when according to Maya, the Dunhams moved to Hawaii.

I think it's best to leave that door open.

Agreed, if he was an honest man, or if he had an agenda. Or maybe Cindy said, yes, there was a girl there but I don't remember her name. Perhaps, just like the person who wrote the letter from the university in Honolulu stating that Stanley Ann Dunham was enrolled from Fall 1960, assumed Ann Obama the student, was the same person as Stanley Ann Dunham...

...because they KNEW Stanley Ann Dunham had married the Kenyan student named Obama. 'Dreams' is imo a construction that uses certain facts and weaves the story the author wants you to believe. The student at the Pratt/Dunham house and the Dunham daughter are not necessarily the same person. They were more than likely blended to create a fiction.

‘those [yearbooks] that were in the high school library ‘were stolen’’

This is the myth that won’t die. No yearbooks were stolen from the library. Not one.

I’d like to see some backup on the claim that ‘all’ her classmates have lost their copies. How was this ascertained?

From this post it’s evident that no matter what information is presented, you’ll simply work it into your theory. The possibility of altering it (the theory) is nonexistent.

I have no issue with you believing anything you see fit to believe. I just don’t have the time to invest in a task that is futile by its nature. If someone is inextricably wedded to certain beliefs, it’s best to leave well enough alone, imo.

Lies of Obama’s kind get found out eventually. I look forward to that day. Meanwhile, best to you. We can agree Obama is a scoundrel; let’s leave it at that.

There was an article describing how someone contacted the high school and was told that the school had four yearbooks in the library until recently, but they were stolen.
Another article quoted a classmate saying she had a yearbook ‘in the house somewhere’ but couldn’t find it. A video showing two male students who claimed to have attended when she did, showed pages of a yearbook being turned for the camera, yet not one page showed her so-called graduation image.
I’m no longer as zealous as I once was on this issue, I won’t bother to dig up the links unless you specifically want to see them. The only reason I replied to your original comment on this thread is that you appeared to be two-thirds of the way there...and two out of three isn’t too bad.

Thanks for the additional information. The part about the library was not true. You know how the Internet is with rumors. They travel fast and become entrenched.

I’m happy to let it go at that. I’m still sceptical that an entire class could all lose their yearbooks, but it’s not important. The America-hating foreign-born backstabber is out of office and Trump is in. Things are looking up.

Yes, I'm also happy to leave it there. But before I read your reply, I had this link ready to add, so might as well include it.

REDOUBT REPORTER LINK

Toutonghi used to baby-sit President Obama when she was neighbors with his mother.

Toutonghi was living in Seattle at the time, in the early 1960s. Her husband was going to school at Seattle University, and she was a stay-at-home mom with their 18-month-old daughter.

They lived in a three-story house that had been converted into three inexpensive apartments. Toutonghi and her family lived in the basement apartment, and Ann Dunham — Obama’s mother — lived in the apartment directly upstairs.

“It was a tough situation, as far as I knew,” she said. “She was 19, she’d promised her parents that she was going to finish college, even through she’d married. I’m presuming her parents were paying for the schooling — nobody had any money at the time.”

====

That's just for the record, TWICE, the babysitter seems to have told an interviewer her daughter, (Gabrielle Marie) was 18 months of age at the time. Later, a freeper showed the birthdate of Mary's daughter. It was in July, 1959. And if one adds 18 months to July, 1959, the answer to when the babysitting took place, is January, 1961. Both Charlette Le Fevre, who found the original entry for ANNA OBAMA, and the Redoubt Reporter, assume ANNA OBAMA was Stanley Ann Dunham, however, had they enquired a little more about the age and birth date of Mary's daughter, they would have realised that Stanley Ann Dunham would hardly have had a child for Mary to babysit in JANUARY 1961. THAT child would have been conceived nine months earlier in MAY 1960.

I'm posting that purely for the record. Feel free to check the dates.

again, for the record:

January 28, 2009, Charlette Le Fevre writes:

Mary Toutonghi who now lives in Soldatna Alaska, (2) recalls Barack as ³a really alert baby, very happy and a good size². She does not remember him ever crying (although she adds she is sure he likely did but does not remember any undue fussing). She recalls as best she can the dates she baby sat Barack as her daughter was 18 months old and was born in July of 1959 and that would have placed the months of baby sitting Barack in January and February of 1962.

AND ADDS THE FOLLOWING EDIT, WHEN SHE REALISES HER MISTAKE:

[Note: 9/3/09: I believe Mary's daughter was older than what she remembered which would account for the age discrepency].

Because, strange as it may seem, no one noticed that if you add 18 months to her daughter's birthdate, you get January 1961, NOT January 1962. But Corsi did notice, and when he contacted Mary in Alaska, she corrected herself and said that child was seven months of age in early August. Which once again, came out at January 1961.

Furthermore, LOL...had the daughter been OLDER than 18 months at the time, that would put the birth the child she babysat back even further.

PS. No need for any replies.
