PLANT IDENTIFICATION REQUEST:
--------------------------------------
My guess is this is some type of blue lavender.
Smells nice but I can't be sure of the exact type. I have to buy one or two and plant them for a relative who is in hospital and doesn't know what the landscaper put in there.
Another similar plant I looked up is lavender, but that is purple and smaller, while this grows about 60% larger and is blue, not purple.
I included a photo featuring a Home Depot bucket included in the shot to provide a general sense of size of the plant.
What is this plant..? :(
I don’t know. Something wrong with me, I guess.
... it might be that killer alien lavender stuff from Venus. Don't touch it!
We all mourn in different ways. Myself, I miss him very much but it is consoling to be around others who miss him too and appreciate the wisdom he shared.
I agree with the others, lavender. Rub a flower in your hands and see how it smells.
I think it’s either French or Spanish lavender. They are sometimes both known as “bunny ears” for those top two petals that stick up. Spanish is a little darker, though, so I’d say it’s French lavender.
Lavender is a great plant. Lots of sun, water but not too much, and it will be happy.
[[Its Lavender
Im pretty sure its the cultivar Hidcote]]
It’s not Hidcote , the leaves are the wrong shape but the flower looks like it. It’s probably one of the hybrids .
You can grow more plants though exactly like it by takig some cuttings .
That’s how the hybrids are cultivated. It’s probably the easiest way of getting the same exact plant. It’s easy to take cuttings too.

It’s lavender. We’ve several bushes of them growing around. Those bumblebees love it. After the flowers die off and the pods dry out, save them in a bag and put them in drawers or closets for freshness.
Salvia
Maybe. If you take some petals, rub them between your hands, and it smells peppery, that’d be Russian Sage.
Glad I saw your post before the inevitable JPEG.
Hyssop. Bees love it, honey tastes great from it.
Sammy Kaye agrees...

With a second from (which I much prefer) from Gene Vincent...

(Sammy Kaye and Gene Vincent were both consumed by Triffids.
That’s what you call a “little known fact of Postal Trivia.”)
Hyssop
no
And the plant is wrong for Russian Sage.
Lavender.
Triffids are more bulbous and hungry!
