Some amusing posts in response to CNN Doxing the creator of the Trump vs. CNN wrestling meme from earlier this week.
Doxing = threat to personally expose a private citizen on the internet for purpose of putting them in financial and physical jeopardy.

Gee. I don’t think we do business with any of those companies except possibly Johnson and Johnson, and I can’t think of anything from that company. Is Windex made by them? I usually buy off brand, but I didn’t the last time. Gotta look them up.

From what I understand they found his identity and contact info somehow and threatened to make it public unless he apologized and take the content down. I’ve also seen a few stories that indicate it may have been a minor who made the gof, but that is not confirmed.

I find the language CNN is using to be disturbing. From the CNN article:
CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
How totalitarian of them :(

The irony to me is that if the author had made a GIF that was critical of the President or administration, CNN would go to the mat to protect the identity of the maker...
But since the GIF was supportive of the President, they would spend the entire weekend talking about the GIF and go to the ends of the earth to discover the identity and threaten a minor!
