I live in a Blue Dog area. Most folks here are Democrats. But that's only because their grandfathers and fathers were Democrats. Their grandfathers voted for JFK, and their fathers voted for Reagan. And in 2016 they voted for Trump. Yep, my blue state went for Trump.
So why am I disappointed? It's the Fourth of July, and maybe one house out of ten here has a flag out front. Why is that?
I saw a pickup today, suburban Boston, that had a huge American flag on one side and a huge Confederate on the other side.
Pretty funny.
.
We saw a few of those yesterday here in the Knoxville area. Made me feel SOOO good! The flags were enormous.
Obviously you know where I live. I work at Cummins, the most PC, most leftist, liberal, most diverse, most environmentally correct company there is, but you you better damn well not not go against company policy or you are out of a job. The upper crusters run this town and let us peons know that.
All of my friends are conservative, church going, gun owners, down to earth kind of people, but you can’t say that at work.
I guess the only reason the Democrats don’t win is because of the Russians(just kidding).
Country doesn’t feel very united right now because the left’s semi-declaration of war on us. Hard to view the lefty down the street as a countryman when he disowned you over Trump and a leftist gun man tried to murder 5 GOP congressmen. I’d frankly rather punch a leftist than to celebrate with them.
Take a look at this:

God Bless the FDNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, maybe it's because the libtard a$$ holes saw you in your front yard, sitting on your padded lawn chair, sipping a cool drink, with a Remington 870 in your lap, and a Sig Sauer 44 magnum strapped to your hip. Do you suppose that might have something to do with it? 😂😁😄👍 (joke)
I remember back when GWB was elected and then reelected. The liberals hated him, there were protests, bumper sticker makers became zillionaires...but there wasn’t this palpable sense of menace.
There is now. I have made it a point to avoid political discussions deeper than a thimble these days. I don’t know if it’s because the left thought that when Obama won it was democrat rule forever like on that laughable James Carville book cover, but something has snapped in many of them. That shooter at the Republican baseball game is the prime example.
I don't think you are alone bro. 🙃
I am in a blue state. I am the only one I’ve seen who has a flag up today.
I live in the most conservative county in Wisconsin, Waukesha. Just a FYI half of the homes on my block have flags displayed.
It is also registering 123 degrees on my weather station sensors in the NW end of the valley today. I am very disappointed. Missing Florida humidity very much today.
Maybe after the 15th year in Afghanistan people just aren’t into it as much as they were back then.
Not a chance. I'm originally from Kalifornistan. Sad to say, but folks don't roll like that, even in the upstate deep red counties.
I'm in the great state of Texas now, where I can walk down the street fully strapped, if I want. I wake up every morning saying, "God Bless Texas!"
The longer I live the less I feel like an American but the more I feel like a soon-to-be citizen of Heaven. There was a lot in the last eight years that sapped a lot of patriotism out of me, and even though we’re own the White House and both houses of Congress it seems like the libs still win every little battle. I just don’t feel like celebrating.
But God Bless Texas!! Still a proud Texan.
Since 2010, Dems lost over a thousand elective races, all across the country, but because Zero was in the White House, the left remained delusionally optimistic that they would rule the world forever.
It never dawned on them that they'd lost both houses of Congress, most governorships, and most state legislatures to the Republicans, precisely because of how radically they'd governed when they were in charge.
These fools followed Hillary Clinton, possibly the worst candidate they've ever run for president, right up to election night, still believing the people would hand her (and them) that power once again.
The lack of situational awareness across the political left was astonishing to me. I watched the cranial detonation going on from coast to coast with complete amazement. The fact that they were universally 'shocked' at the election outcome, told me all I need to know (and what I've long suspected) about modern day liberals. They ain't got a clue.
Flags all up and down my Hoosier street. Firewworks booming down at the meadow, bulldog sedated but still unhappy with the noise. Happy Independence day all!
Don't be fooled. Libs just have a bigger megaphone than we do, so they can make a bigger noise, which makes it seem like they're winning. They're not. What you're really hearing, is the tortured screams and hissing of a cornered animal that knows it's lost the fight.
It's why they've resorted to violence, vis a vis Antifa and the like. It's why liberal judges are rendering such cockamamie rulings. It's why the Dems in Congress are suddenly acting like junior high school reprobates. It's why Hollywood libs are inciting violence against the President. It's why the media's gone into nuclear meltdown.
Now, ask yourself. Would the left be reacting like this if they were truly winning? There's your answer.
But God Bless Texas!! Still a proud Texan.
Amen to that. Texas will be alright, and so will our beloved country.
They're next!
I was surprised to see ONE other flag on this block besides me. The halfway house for drug addicts isn’t flying theirs... many people are from other countries... their gates are far from their homes... I put our flag out there creatively with no flag pole or holder thing.
