"President Trump is abandoning a number of his key campaign promises on economic policy, adopting instead many of the centrist positions he railed against while campaigning as a populist.
Trump will not label China a currency manipulator, he told the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, despite a campaign pledge that he would apply the label on his first day in office. He also said he was open to reappointing Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet L. Yellen after saying last year that the central banker should be ashamed of what she was doing to the country.
And he embraced the Export-Import Bank, a government agency that he mocked last year and that has long been despised by conservatives who labeled it crony capitalism.
The statements represent a move toward the economic policies of more centrist Republicans and even at times align with the approach of former president Barack Obama. Should he follow through on the newly articulated positions, it would suggest that the candidate who ran as the ultimate outsider is increasingly adopting a more moderate economic agenda."

They need to be careful. Their pearls might be damaged from “over-clutching”.
I think weve got many new Soros folks here.
Maybe. But they look like fired up Paulistinians to me.
You aren’t paying attention
LOL, I couldn’t stand it there for more than a few minutes.
I looked that up. ZeroHedge wrote almost exactly the same article. Thanks.
Get outta here with this sh!t, punk.
There you go. You may be on to something.
The amazing talking asshole speaks.
I could make a killing selling fainting couches around here.
I am centrist on some issues, but I don’t know if Trump is going to abandon some of his core campaign issues.
I hope they don’t OC.
George Washington was no state-ist. He signed the tariff act of 1789 which would make him an anti globalist heretic today.
“President Trump is abandoning a number of his key campaign promises on economic policy, adopting instead many of the centrist positions he railed against while campaigning as a populist.”
I think this is a fair observation.
Yet, his policies are still not fully at the prior Uniparty level, e.g. TPP and NAFTA.
I think most people knew this would be the case.
And, to me, the great things, the WINNING is in climate change policy, energy policy and the like which he is coming through on.
For cryin’ out loud noob! Grab your little blanket and take your little snowflake self to your George Soros funded safe space.
Yeah Trump is just another Bush - we’re DOOMED
During the RyanCare debate Mitch McConnell said, “There will be NO tax cuts this year”
True; in the comments to the ZeroHedge article someone made a good list of things that would have been different from Bush. Point well taken on the environmental regs.
It’s just never enough with some people.
President Trump has worked his tail off ever since he got into office, carrying out his campaign promises, enraging Democrats and the liberal media alike, and yet, there are Trump supporters who are still whining and fearful that he will turn into another RINO.
Just because the man has realized that it’s a lot easier to to declare war on the federal government in a campaign rally than it is to wage war on the federal government as president, doesn’t mean that he’s any less committed to shrinking its size and influence in our lives.
However way he chooses to reach his goals and pass his agenda, through negotiations and alliances, I know that without doubt, he will seek the well-being of this nation first in all of his decisions.
Stop falling for the liberal media’s attempts to turn you from supporting President Trump. It’s like Rush said, they can’t stop his agenda, so their only hope is to turn the public away from him.
Well, it’s not going to work with me and my family, because we are beyond amazed at what he has accomplished in such a short time and we couldn’t possibly be more proud of him.
Thanks; well said.
1-2 weeks ago everyone seemed to be asking “Where is the Attorney General?”...why aren’t we doing more on immigration...then, all of a sudden, Sessions shows up in Arizona on Monday or Tuesday and lays down the gauntlet pretty hard...they’re ramping up for some serious deportations...
both healthcare and tax reform were in Ryan’s hands to get done...he’s screwing both of them up...Trump gave him a chance...now both are trending away from Ryan and input is coming from other areas (Senate, WH, etc.)...in my opinion we’ll get a better outcome because of this...
I for one trust his judgement and intentions for America...
