DONALD Trumps dramatic U-turn on taking military action in Syria was sparked by the heartbreak of his daughter Ivanka, it has been claimed.
The US President, who had previously been opposed to the US launching airstrikes on Syria, announced that the gas attack could not be tolerated and ordered the 59-missile bombing of an airbase involved in the fatal chemical assault.

well said and appreciate the accurate synopsis
I don’t want to turn my back on my president but if he abandons Bannon in favor of his lefty daughter I’m going to be pissed. Not what I voted for.
Divestiture of private business holdings would be a common practice among people in those positions. The point I was making was that Gorelick didn’t seem to think it was a problem at all ... which says an awful lot about her — don’t you think?
With reports that she met with Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, I hope her feelings of outrage and heartbreak will also extend to the maiming and mutilation of the babies killed in abortions.
My issues are:
He campaigned against this type of military action.
Did Assad actually do this?
If he did, why is gassing worthy of our intervention but not bombing, shooting, starving, beheading etc.
Why is it our job to intervene?
soetoro had 8 yes to populate the upper level of intelligence and the military with islamic sympathizers, commies, poofters and other assorted America haters.
Is he making decisions on the truth?
Let's leave out that this could lead to a confrontation with Russia.
The left, al queda and Isis ate all for it.
Ah, this brings into focus our need to fight the urge to get cocky.
Changes are we will have another big fight on our hands.
You’re asking questions that I don’t have any answers to. Like I said, I wasn’t privy to any of the intelligence provided to him when he made the decision to attack the airfield, so I’m not going to give a knee-jerk, armchair-General analysis of his actions like many of those on FR are doing.
Actually you have AC, is it necessary that I go back on your past 3 week history and post your anti-Trump posts such as this one?
This is the bane of almost every new administration in Washington. Once they realize that they can't accomplish a domestic agenda quickly, they run around looking for things they can do without Congressional approval -- so they can "look presidential."
Recognizing the fact that you've been around her for a long time, you're turning out to be a complete fraud from north of the border...
Uh -- whut?
I call it like it is on any given issue. The George W. Bush idol-worship was nauseating, and it certainly didn't serve America's interests at all.
I believe it was Steve Bannon himself who said after Election Day that it was important for Trump's supporters to make their voices heard even though he won the election -- because Trump was likely to wander occasionally from the agenda that got him elected. That's what I'm here for.
I am not giving analysis but asking questions.
Yes you do and you're way off the mark on this one. Your problem is you're relying too much on the leftwing MSM for your information.........
I don’t watch or read any “leftwing MSM” at all. I don’t even watch Fox News. The only reports I ever see on most of these issues are posted right here on FR — and I frankly find the FR commentary (on both sides of an issue) more interesting and informative than the original media reports that are linked here.
You're asking the wrong person. Send a letter to the President with your concerns. You never know, you might get an answer.
Totally agree.
“With reports that she met with Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, I hope her feelings of outrage and heartbreak will also extend to the maiming and mutilation of the babies killed in abortions.”

Hope springs eternal. But don’t hold your breath.
Key words: “it has been claimed.”
WTF do we get out of the deal?
We, as in you and me, us little people? Nada, zip, zilch, nothing.(unless you’re the family of a dead soldier, then you get a little)
The federal politicians however, probably do alright. They all have stock portfolios and will get the inside scoop on who’s going to build the pipeline etc.
Now the Europeans, they get the ruskie monkey off their back because right now they have to get their natural gas from russia.
Ivanka and Jared will help drag the old man into a war. How about that...
