Brain Activity At The Moment of Death

Neuroskeptic « Why Scientists Shouldn’t Replicate Their Own Work Brain Activity At The Moment of Death By Neuroskeptic | March 3, 2017 2:48 pm 203 What happens in the brain when we die?

Canadian researchers Loretta Norton and colleagues of the University of Western Ontario examine this grave question in a new paper: Electroencephalographic Recordings During Withdrawal of Life-Sustaining Therapy Until 30 Minutes After Declaration of Death

Norton et al. examined frontal EEG recordings from four critically ill patients at the point where their life support was withdrawn. Here are some details on the four: (table at link)

Here’s the EEG recordings. None of the patients met criteria for brain death at baseline. Time 0 represents the moment of clinical death, namely when arterial blood pressure (ABP) became constant, indicating that the heart had stopped. This occured a few minutes after life support had been withdrawn.

Norton et al. note that for three of the four patients, EEG activity ceased before the heart stopped beating – up to 10 minutes before, in the case of patient #2. However, patient #4 showed a slightly different pattern, with electrical activity (delta wave bursts) occuring up to 10 minutes after the final heartbeat.

The authors say that it’s hard to explain these apparently post-mortem delta waves:

It is difficult to posit a physiological basis for this EEG activity given that it occurs after a prolonged loss of circulation. These waveform bursts could, therefore, be artefactual in nature, although an artefactual source could not be identified.

Interesting back to life... you are Blessed and we are too, to have you on FR... 6 days of miracles... and on the seventh day, He rested.

G-d is great... indeed.

“Could there be spiritual things that doctors do not understand?”

I’ve figured this out and am currently editing a video I did in front of several MD and PhD top researchers in consciousness studies where I demonstrate the anatomy and physiology of the human soul. I not only demonstrate proof of the human soul’s existance but show exactly where memories are stored, retreived and processed and how the soul interfaces with the physical body.

In addition, I help people cross over after they die. Just because the body is gone does not mean the soul stops functioning.

Ever since I died in 1988 and then returned to my physical body, consciousness is physical to my sensory perceptions. I feel consciousness, and often see and smell it just as most do a physical object.

By observing consciousness flow patterns in the soul I have found I can read stored memories of a person’s past experiences all the way back to conception. It’s very easy to identify the influence of trauma experienced by the mother on the baby in her womb, even though that baby is now 70+ years old.

It’s easy to identify and demonstrate the causes of many learning disabilities.

It’s easy to identify the attraction process in gay and lesbian relationships.

It’s easy to identify perceptual programming events that impact personality development.

It’s easy to identify many of the events which created the predisposition to cancer, MS and many auto immune disorders.

It’s pretty easy to remove PTSD and other emotional traumas in a few minutes. I physically feel the stored memory in a person’s soul and help them heal it.. gone permenently.

The ability allows me to read the soul much the way x-rays do bones. I’m not psychic. I allows the equivalent of years of psychotherapy to be completed in a few minutes.

I’ve been doing this research for over 25 years and can explain and demonstrate the neuroscience of the communication between the human soul and the physical body.

The soul is much larger than the physical body and actually is the field that provides the life energy for cells to replicate. Nothing can kill the soul, even if every cell of the physical body is destroyed.

I’ll post a link to the video when it is completed.

By the way, I am also a Christian and accept Jesus as my Savior. This ability has helped me to better understand the Bible as truth and how Jesus did what He did.

That’s not brain activity; it’s just galvanic muscle response, muscles contracting as certain metabolytes are released when cells die.

I am glad that you have seen the hand of God. I too have seen it in nature as I spend many years as a prospector. Now I would suggest contemplating that a God who created such perfection would be smart enough to figure out how to reach mankind with a message.

It is also obvious to the observant that Mankind is fatally flawed in comparison to God, and his perfection in his works. So then the thought is how a righteous God could forgive such evil in man and still remain righteous.

That answer I found in Jesus Christ. Check it out for yourself.

I am glad you lived, your circumstance shows God had his hand in that. That is why I bothered to write this to you. I suspect you are invited to the family.

I don’t specifically recall colored lights- But I do remember an intense light- The last thing I remember clearly was sitting up in the hospital bed- telling my folks I was about to throw up- my m om ran and got the something to throw up in After doing so i grabbed the edges of the bed because the bed started flip flopping end for end (I was wicked dizzy from the fever)- and then everything got really bright- and i felt myself descending into hell- I remember looking up and seeing the world disappear- then i was in a new place- that was completely dark- I remember sounds- bells- which i ‘had to count’ as a ‘test’ (who knows- maybe it was the doc asking me if i could hear something to see if i was with it or not- could been i suppose- it just sounded like a ringing bell that i had to count)

I did have another incident where a bleeding ulcer came close to taking my life as well- in that case, before i passed out- I only remember grabbing ahold of the sink and thinking “Oh man, this isn’t good” and that was it- I came to wedged between toilet and wall- blood everywhere- even on the ceiling- I don’t know what happened after I grabbed the sink, but it musta made one heck of a racket- I didn’t see anything this time no visions or light- Perhaps I wasn’t as close to death as previous experience- but i didn’t experience anything weird visually that time- I’m thinking the synapses were ok this time- which just reinforced my feeling about the first time being due to synapses-

Both times that I “died”, the people involved were so scared of being in trouble that they immediately began covering up.

I didn’t see any white light, either.

A friend quoted scripture to me that you actually only “die” once. I can’t remember the exact passage. My memory hasn’t been the same, either.

I am a Christian and I know that one day, “I’ll fly away.”

you actually only “die” once.

The scripture is Hebrews 9: 27

But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the age to remove sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And just as it is appointed for mortals to die once, and after that the judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

I don’t agree with the translation of this scripture...

When I walk through a persons soul and find their conception memories, if I back up a few inches there is the stored memory of the last death experience.

Often when I touch the stored soul memories from 15 feet away from a person’s physical body it knocks them off their feet. This is done while their eyes are closed, I say nothing, do not touch them in any way, no taste or smell stimulus and still the body responds exactly the same each time I touch the stored memory in a person’s soul.

I can’t believe that no one has figured this out in thousands of years. It’s really simple when you physically perceive it.

Interesting. In healthcare training in the seventies I was taught that the brain may be able to hear and feel up to an half hour after death. To guard one’s tongue around the comatose and the newly dead.

Always thought that sitting with the dead was a hat tip to the fact that we die slowly. IIRC kidney cells have a four hour window.
