Lightweight Ben Shapiro, "They’re fully within their rights to mock those Constitutional conservatives – like me! – who said that Trump would never appoint a conservative to the Court.

But they are ignoring one rather crucial point: if had been up to them, they wouldn’t have pressed Trump for a damn thing. Trump appointed a conservative to the high court because he needed to please Constitutional conservatives. He didn’t do it because he is a deeply knowledgeable Constitutional scholar (he once said in a presidential debate that his Supreme Court justice would have to prosecute Hillary Clinton and also said he might appoint his leftist sister to the Supreme Court); he didn’t do it because he’s an advocate of Constitutional separation of powers (he’s never made any comment along those lines). Trump appointed Gorsuch because he promised he would. And he only promised he would because he needed to gain the support of doubtful conservatives, which he almost universally did."

You are a freaking Zombie. I am very pleased that Judge Gorsuch was selected, and so is Cruz and Levin. There was nothing in Trump’s history to indicate that he would be the courageous defender of America that he has turned out to be. Talk is cheap. The Bushes betrayed us. I expected the same of Trump, but hoped for the best. So far, he has won my admiration and confidence, but so many good ones have fallen victim to Washington. At at time, Levin was still bitching and moaning about Trump not being conservative enough and never would be.

It was Monday or Tuesday. I turned up the radio to catch the news during Beck, which I normally don’t listen to. He was saying that Trump was true to his word in his SCOTUS appointment as far as pro-life, and said he was sorry for doubting Trump. He added some wiggle room in there by adding that he’ll be watching Trump, but for Beck it was a big step. I couldn’t believe it, and was sure a thread would pop up about it, but none ever did.

I would not claim that Rush elected Trump. He did not. But Trump could not have been elected without the new media that Rush helped to create and is a large part of. The new media had to be there for President Trump to use and beat the Establishment media with. Rush pioneered that and helped much of it to happen.
