Orlando, Florida (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump said Friday his supporters were "violent" during the 2016 campaign.
Trump made the admission Friday night during a rally here on the Florida leg of his "Thank You" tour. During the campaign, he repeatedly downplayed violent outbursts his supporters displayed at times toward protesters and insisted that paid activists were instead responsible for inciting violence at his rallies. "You people were vicious, violent, screaming, 'Where's the wall? We want the wall!' Screaming, 'Prison! Prison! Lock her up!' I mean you are going crazy. I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious and you wanted to win, right?" Trump said Friday. "But now, you're mellow and you're cool and you're not nearly as vicious or violent, right? Because we won, right?"

Yes. Trump meant the comment as a complimentary, praising his supporters for their rabid support.
Apparently, now, we have to deal a conservative form of political correctness.
I listened to the entire rally, and he was clearly (to me) being facetious. Ironic. Sarcastic. Certainly not serious. However, the MSM is not going to miss the opportunity to misconstrue what he said, that’s for sure.
My thoughts are about recent sign ups who start their posts with a protestation of not being a troll.
Kinda makes me assume that they are a troll.

One of the inevitable characteristics of the self claimed super high IQs of liberals is that they are unable to process irony or sarcasm or even simple puns. That is why there is no humor in them. Everything can only be understood as literal. Liberal humor is almost of all the “...and then the Bishop stepped in dogshit and fell on his face and broke his skull and died right there in the dogshit HAHAHAHAHAHAHA(snort)HAHAHAHAHA !!!!! It is not even true laughter. They vocalize recognized laugh sounds but their eyes do not laugh.

Another example of: The difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals do not take Trump seriously but they do take him literally. Conservatives take Trump seriously but do not take him literally.
People who take everything literally are known for something else, no sense of humor. Trump isn’t just making America great again, he’s also making it fun again!

More propaganda from CNN. I watched that, and he was absolutely unquestionably talking about the chants that his people would do at his rallies, especially the “lock her up” chant, which is what prompted this line of discussion during the speech. Lying CNN with their fake news headline wants people to think that he was saying his supporters were physically violent, something he didn’t even hint at in the speech.
Naturally, at the same time, CNN has spent over a year going out of its way to avoid reporting on all the attacks on Trump supporters leaving his rallies by “protestors,” the revelations that those violent anti-Trump “protestors” were paid by the DNC, and the numerous attacks on Trump supporters, including children, since the election. The press is simply disgusting. There is not a more deliberately dishonest and manipulative significant group of people in the country.

Perhaps this inability to detect tone and between-the-lines is why liberal followers (as opposed to the leadership who constructs the lies intentionally and consciously) are totally unable to detect a complete and obvious lie from their overlords. In addition to lacking pun meters, sarcasm meters, allegory meters and irony meters, they also are completely missing bullshit meters.
There should be a 'Q', different from IQ and EQ to identify an extreme deficit along the continuum of reading between the lines or picking up what is said but not literally said.

Yelling something vs beating up Trump supporters are two different things. CNN thinks that vocalizing is worse than direct actions smashing things.

And in the very same speech he promised yet again to build the wall, as he’s done in almost every speech. That would be politically foolish to do after the election, if he weren’t serious about it. His teasing of his audience and sense of humor seems to have gone over your head.
I don’t like what he said.
Just this one thing would not make me go against him.
I am sure he is going to do things that not everyone who voted for him agrees with ... that’s a given, that’s part of being a politician. You can’t please everyone and everyone knows that.
However, if you go too far with it and displease too many of those who voted for you (as in my example of some of the initial tea party politicians) you will hear from them and you may be un-elected. This is part of the deal as well.

I never said such things when I was your age. I don't think I even posted an article until well after my first birthday. Mostly, I listened and learned, that first year.
As has been observed by many, when Trump speaks his supporters know exactly what he means, but the media and elites have no idea what he means.
Some candidates didn't think that the Tea Party would catch on to them changing their votes on various bits of legislature after their initial vote and figure out they were RINOs. What they didn't is that there are eyes everywhere and they do keep track of the score and share information. While many of the groups have disbanded there are many that can be called together to assemble in large numbers quickly if the cause is strong enough...
