Almost half of men admit to trimming or shaving their leg hair en eyebrow raising admission, even for a generation of spornosexual manscapers.
Male hair trimming that rarely concerns body hair south of the border, unless youre a professional swimmer or cyclist but these days average Joes everywhere are taking razors to their hairy pins.
Surveying their Facebook followers, Mens Health found that while the majority of men are not completely shaving their legs, a surprising 15 per cent are, while a further 33 per cent admitted: I dont shave clean, but I do use a trimmer to cut it down. Thats nearly half of the men polled that are tackling their leg hair in some way or form but why?

OK, why do they shave their legs? I mean I don’t recall the folks in the 80’s who wore shorts shaving their legs. Why does more people wearing shorts equal more men who shave their legs?
I do remember some skaters shaving so their road rash scabs wouldn’t get infected.

I have hair on my head, chin and the other place. My fine leg hair got worn down by the jeans I always wore. Wasn’t enough to miss anyways. I only have to blade shave ye olde face every other day—if I shave it every day, I bleed. PITA!
Homos, each and every on of them
“When I was on a cycling team, I shaved my legs.”
Years ago when I did a lot of cycling, I read they do it, in case they go down and scrape the hell out of their legs; and dried blood in hairy legs would complicate matters, versus shaved legs.
Is that correct?
Ever get the feeling that most socks are too tight?
I don’t know about the shaving. I was just saying that shorts are more prevalent now, even with older guys. They’re everywhere.
Betas/fags
Wow I didn’t realize that they actually shaved their legs. So the knickerbocker thing and the Founding Fathers were shaving their legs? That’s almost depressing. The wig thing was bad enough. I hope wigs don’t come back too.

ditto ... daughter commented on it recently,,,,to my chagrin...
The guys in the 18th century looked positively sedate compared to the guys from the Elizabethan era.
True.
I understand shaving one’s head, but not this
Hairylegged and proud!
That’s somewhere on the slope to sitzpinkling.
I always thought that he should get some sort of honor for the last.
After the fall of Rome ( I won'/t go into all of the ablutions, waxings ( they used honey back then ), makeup, etc. used/done back then ) Christian Europe stopped doing a lot of things; however, women tweezed their head hair lines, because high foreheads were supposedly a sign of intelligence. That went out of favor too, until the Elizabethan Age, at which point, no eyebrows, on women were also in vogue.
As for men, this was a time in both the English and French courts, where many men wore earrings.
I can give you a decade by decade, until present day, various different "ins" and "outs" in sartorial changes, but hopefully, this is enough to satisfy you.
Michelle Obama should shave some of the hair off her back, belly, and arms. Maybe then she wouldn’t be mistaken for that mysterious reclusive beast that roams remote wilderness areas.
I agree, more men wear shorts now. Like I said, I guess the question is what started supposedly so many of these men shaving their legs? It has to be a chick thing, but there still has to be a reason why hairy legs are generally unfashionable or gross or whatever. Is it porn? The modern ability to shave easily through technology? What?

I do not lust for Hillary Clinton :)
