A saying I use to this day:

Always classic. Loved fractured fairy tales.

I really enjoyed it. LOL sent it on to my sister who loved that show as much as I.
Seriously, kept the link, in order to watch it again and again. Even adults need some type of distraction now and then. The cartoon was seen looking thru the eyes of today...Minnesota, Zero, are ‘code’ words to remember. There were others embedded in the action as well. Will find it necessary to research for those at a later date. :-)
A pleasurable 30 minutes. LOL I’m easily pleased!

In the hour we come into the presence of our maker, I expect him to speak in the voice of Paul Frees.

My favorite all-time cartoon song.

From “Tom and Jerry”

“Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby”

The ruby yacht of Omar Khayyam. And let's not forget the Kerwood Derby.

What you're missing in the discussion of Looney Tunes is the vast array of actual classical music insinuated subtly into the cartoons. From Bugs Bunny conduction von Suppe's Morning Noon and Night in Vienna, to The Rabbit of Seville (as you mentioned), the classic What's Opera Doc (where Elmer Fudd chants "Kill The Rabbit" to the tune of Ride of the Valkyries...!), Daffy Duck swimming to the tune of Blue Danube Waltz, or a snippet of Mendelssohn's Spring Song as Sam the Wolf (who looks exactly like Wile E. Coyote for some reason) dresses up as the Greek demigod Pan, in order to lure the sheep away from Ralph the Sheepdog...

I’ve seen it, when I was little. Don’t recall much. The old cartoons I liked the best were the Jetsons and Looney Toons.

I heard the movie they made a while ago was a faithful adaptation rather than the POS that it seemed to be.

Plunk your magic twanger, Froggie.

“...Combat or 12 O’clock High....”

I did indeed. And still do. They’re on a cable station that plays nothing but the old TV shows from the 60s, 70, and 80s.

I actually remember when Combat! went from BW to color. We got a color Magnavox(?) or Motorola (?) console set in 1967 and I remember seeing BW rerun episodes, then suddenly color.

Sunday night, Wonderful World of Disney, with the castle and the sudden fireworks too... It was cool.

RE Jazz:

“Powerhouse”!!!!! Raymond Scott...

Know it well... and it’s really funny that Rush adapted it into “La Villa Strangiato” on their “Hemispheres” album. I figured that out on guitar years ago, and then had to chuckle when I remembered all the times I’d heard it in Looney Tunes cartoons...

The sense of humor was amazing, wasn’t it?

I think those cartoons were aimed at adults as well as children..
