Do the animals weve loved and lost truly leave us? Earlier this week, Bel Mooney told of her grief at losing her dog, Bonnie, and how, at her lowest ebb, she felt Bonnie come back to her. In response, dozens of you responded with stories of signs from the after-life from dearly beloved pets . . .
Eight years ago, I had a lovely black cat called Nevil. One afternoon a lady knocked on my door and told me she had run over my cat. For two weeks I was truly devastated.
One night I could not sleep and went downstairs to make a drink. And there, in the kitchen, to my utter shock, I saw Nevil looking at me.
It lasted just for a few seconds before he disappeared but I felt so much better because I knew he was OK. To this day I can sometimes feel him walking over me in bed.

One of my old girl friends came back to me in a dream two nights ago, as real as ever, but she was no longer willing. Daggone!
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
DO ALL DOGS REALLY GO TO HEAVEN?
CBN.com When we were at Love Inn (our ministry work in upstate New York) our dog was a Border Collie, Alfie. He was the best Christian in the place. He was hit by a car trying to cross highway Rt.13, and Nedra still cries about him. She was telling Alfie stories last week and cried.
Then subsequently we had Lady, (looked like Lassie) she was dog napped. Our next dog was Golda, a Golden Retriever. My youngest son Ryan used to sleep on her. She eventually died of old age. All of these dogs were loving, devoted, and faithful.
So, do animals have spirits? Here are some Bible verses and Gods perspective:
Ask the animals, and they will teach you...In Gods hand is the life of every creature, and the breath of all mankind. (Job 12:7 and10)
A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal. (Proverbs 12:10) Not many people think of measuring righteousness by this standard.
And in regard to the question are there animals in heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:19: “After all, the same fate awaits human beings and animals alike. One dies just like the other. They are the same kind of creature. A human being is no better off than an animal, because life has no meaning for either.”
Eccl 3:20: “They are both going to the same place-—the dust. They both came from it; they will both go back to it.”
Eccl 3:21: “How can anyone be sure that the human spirit goes upward while an animal’s spirit goes down into the ground?”
Of course, the human animal can make choices in regard to God/Jesus, but not the four legged beasts. But Scripture is pretty clear that there will be animals in the new world after He folds this one up.
I remember years ago, while broadcasting on radio in upstate New York, having a young girl calling me on the air. She was crying because her dog was sick. She asked me to pray for her dog. I had never done that before, but she was so desperate, I did it. Some people called me and said I shouldnt have done that, because God wasnt involved in healing animals. Those folks apparently didnt know God very well. Because a short time later the young girl called back laughing and excited saying her dog was better!
I have prayed for many animals since then.
The Scripture says He knows about every bird that falls to the ground too. God does care about animals. As a matter of fact there are some churches that hold a blessing of the animals service. Gods hand is in the life of every creature.

No, I guess not. Hell, if I’d shot her when I 1st wanted to, I’d be out by now.
I have no doubt that God actively loves and revels in everything that He created.

I was not surprised she came back to let me know everything was just fine.
If our pets aren’t in Heaven, I’d just as soon not be there either
Animals have no souls. Your pets have no souls. They don’t go to heaven. They don’t come back as ghosts. Only humans have a soul and an afterlife.
One of my favorite old Twilight Zone episodes is ‘The Hunt’:

Thanks for your input; and, G’nite.
It was a couple of summers ago that I posted on the FR garden thread my best friend had come in from the garden with me. I would hear her drinking from the water bowl and laying down with a big sigh. It happened about three times within a few days. She’s been gone for 15 or so years and is missed terribly.
Your more than welcome. I found it by accident but then fell all over myself getting it on FR?

Go to #24.
About 15 years ago, I had a similar experience with my Dalmatian Dylan who passed on at age 13. On the first anniversary of his death I was thinking about him before I went to bed.
That night while sleeping, I suddenly found myself walking on a trail in the woods. It was surreal in that I knew I was in a dream and I knew I was there to meet Dylan. The woods were beautiful, the ground was wet and the sun was just coming up and there was a faint fog rising up from the ground. As I walked, I saw Dylan in the distance. The sun was shining on his white coat it was such a beautiful sight. When he saw me, he immediately came joyfully running to me. Just as he got to me, I reached down to embrace him but I suddenly woke up just before I could touch him. I honestly believe that what I experienced was not a normal dream and was indeed my dog communicating to me that he was okay.
For those who truly want a heart warming show, may I suggest a Ndtflix classic
Twilight Zone Season 3 (I believe) episode called “The Hunt” about a hillbilly and his beloved hound. It will warm your heart.
They do not make quality programming like that anymore. B&W
Spiritually dead mortals are so gullible that demons are now taking the form of dead pets to deceive them.
It is crystal clear from the book for Genesis and the account of creation detailed there that animals do not have souls. Hence, it is impossible for pets that have died to appear or communicate with their former owners. What these people are "experiencing" are demons impersonating their pets.
Sadly, people today are more controlled by their "experiences" and "feelings" then they are the Word of God. Therefore, rather than judge their experiences in light of what God's Word has to say about a variety of subjects, they subjectively base their belief system on their "experiences" and "feelings" and hold these experiences as "true", when in point of fact they are directly contrary to the clear teachings of Scripture.
The coming Antichrist will use this upside-down form of experiential, feelings based subjective "reasoning" to deceive and enslave the entire world (excluding all who have placed their faith in The Lord Jesus Christ) into believing in, following, and worshipping him by receiving his 666 "Mark of the Beast".
All that we are seeing take place in the demonic spiritual relm is in preparation for the arrival of the coming Antichrist; the man of sin and lawlessness.
Elliott was my "handsome fella" and I always told him that I'm keeping him forever. It never dawned on me that one day we will have to part. The last time I brushed him, it was outdoors. I left his fur to be scattered by the wind. When he "graduated" I was devastated. How I survived that winter I don't know. I shut the world out. I took it really hard. In the summer I was cleaning the winter brush missing his company terribly. Then I saw something on the ground under the Arbovitae. I picked it up. It was a used tiny bird's nest made completely with his fur with only a blade or two of grass intertwined. that cheered me. Although he was no longer around, part of him still was on earth and was exposed just when it was most needed.
Yes, I do believe our pets wait for us AND watch over us. God promised to give us the desires of our hearts :)
Hugs to you and Winston. Tell, remind him of all the fun times and adventures you had together. he'll love hearing that.
