U.S. actor and producer Robert De Niro said on Saturday that U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump should not run for president because he was "totally nuts".
Trump, a billionaire businessman seeking his first public office, has courted controversy with a string of inflammatory statements about his main opponent Hillary Clinton, guns, Mexicans, Muslims and war veterans, among others.
De Niro made the comments to a Sarajevo audience as he presented a digital version of Martin Scorsese's film "Taxi Driver", in which he starred, to mark its 40th anniversary.
"I don't know, it's crazy that people like Donald Trump ..., he shouldn't even be where he is, so God help us," De Niro said to wide applause in the Sarajevo National Theater.
I will treasure this award my Heart of Sarajevo because I dont think there is another city in the world that has shown such heart in the face of so much tragedy, De Niro said at the ceremony.

I don’t really care what a man who makes a living playing make-believe thinks. I would, if such a person had humility and was speaking as an ordinary citizen. He’s not. He’s laughable.
Two facts make this not worth time to read.

Mov on nothing to see
If you are a major star in hollywood you have to stay on the reservation.
There is a story (and believable, I can supply proof) that in the final audition for Splash (director Ron Howard), Tom Hanks was made to get in the shower with another man and touched this guy. Hanks said it lasted 30 seconds at most before he stopped. The director said, okay that’s enough.
He is now blackmailed and told what to say. He shows up at a hotel for a speaking engagement and there is a list of things for him to say.
This only part of the story; hollywood actors receive millions of dollars, but at a cost. In fact, they are all being used.
He says this junk every Presidential election...is he hoping for a movie deal?
"I don't know, it's crazy that people like Donald Trump ..., he shouldn't even be where he is..."
De Niro is not even a high school graduate, much less a psychologist...LOL
Meet the Focker.
Jesters and minstrels ... what don’t they know?
Trump has blamed U.S. news media of taking many his comments out of context.
FWIW, the last sentence is a "journalist" being "clever."
Good thing de Niro gave lots of context, eh?
psychosis is in the mind of the beholder...
Just can’t express how much disdain I have for the lunatic communists in Hollywierd!
Well he is a little Focker isn’t he.
Don’t you get tired of these pompous American actors who go overseas and rip one of our people to a foreign audience? De Niro’s best days are long gone. You’re just an actor pal. Just an actor. No one gives or should give a sh** what you think about politics period.
This political talk will still not make you relevant.
Right after filming anal-ize this.
Every time I see her doing that I just shake my head. What the hell was wrong with her then? That was not normal.

It matters how what a Hollywood actor with an IQ under 100
has to say about anything? Why do we even bother spreading this garbage?
De Niro’s projecting.
