CLEVELAND — For the first time in 36 years, there was a vote on the floor of a party’s nominating convention this past Monday that actually held an element of suspense.
In the hour or so ahead of a vote in which insurgents were attempting to reset the convention rules, Republican National Committee operatives circulated the floor and the back halls of Quicken Loans Arena, buttonholing delegates to argue why they should retract support for the motion, and getting them to sign their names to withdrawal forms. Trump aides, by contrast, bullied delegates with vague and ineffective threats.
In one corner of the arena floor, near CNN’s broadcast booth, delegates from the District of Columbia listened to appeals from high-ranking RNC officials.
The RNC’s argument to the D.C. delegates boiled down to this: A vote for the rules reset would open the door to Ted Cruz becoming the GOP’s nominee four years from now.

How could I be wrong, they will bring in illegals and allow them to vote. You certainly do not expect the Republicans to prevent it, do you? I mean really, they will cower in the corner in fear of being called racist or some other name. Then they will have to pander while crawling on their knees through broken glass.
Guys give a rest. With any luck Cruz will endorse Trump tonight and call for unity. If he breaks his word, then you can bash him. If not, a fire brand like Cruz would be wonderful on our side.
Cruz is picking the wrong guy to tangle with in President Trump. Cruz will be destroyed and will be lucky to run for county DA after Trump is done with him. Levin was going full psycho today saying that Cruz is Reagan ‘76 and that Trump needs to apologize to Cruz for attacking Heidi. I wonder if Ted apologized to Heidi for screwing around on her?

Same logic as is used by those who can’t vote for Trump.

I really liked Cruz early on. My eyes were opened as to the real aims of the man.

He also lied about not knowing he was a Canadian citizen in May 2014 after being elected to senate in 2012. “Smartest guy in the room” and a “Constitutional scholar” didn’t know he was ineligible to run for President?
