Police say three people, including a 9-year-old boy and his father, were shot dead outside a liquor store in San Bernardino.
San Bernardino Police Sgt. Vicki Cervantes said Saturday the shooter was waiting for the victims outside the store late Friday.
When they walked out, the shooter approached them from behind, pulled a gun and fatally shot them all.
The victims were identified as 25-year-old Samathy Mahan, 26-year-old Travon Lamar Williams and 9-year-old Travon Williams.

Sounds like an assassination. Most killers (I would think) don’t lie in wait at a public convenience store for just anybody. This doesn’t justify murder, of course, but it may go toward explaining what just happened.
Did the dad inadvertenly ‘diss’ some street hood the day before? I tend to think it was more serious than that. Was the dad affiliated with a gang, or had he ever been so, perhaps while incarcerated. Was there an unpaid debt?

Since it involved a killing of 3 or more, the government defines this a a “mass shooting”. By redefining the term “mass shooting”, it helps drive government stats toward gun confiscation. If this does not work, the government will redefine a “mass shooting” as 2 people. Then 1.

A heartbreaking loss for the mother of the young boy, but there are so many things wrong here. Take a look at the mother.

The father, who was apparently not a gang member, is described as “a dancer and a rapper.” So many things wrong here. The children that live in this environment have few chances.
