A Collier County man called 911 on Monday night because his girlfriend wouldn't buy him vodka.
He told dispatch his neighbors were fighting and yelling.
When deputies showed up, there was no yelling, and there was no scene.

Deputies said it was a prank, and neighbors said it wasn't funny.
Each time a deputy is sent to a non-emergency call, that's the taxpayer's dollars spent and the officers' time wasted.
We got ahold of the 911 call.
Operator: "Collier County 911. What is the status of your emergency?"
Jack Means: "Uh sorry. It's not what I'd call a true emergency, but it's the same b-s."
But it's not the same because two Collier County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a non-emergency.
According to the report, the caller Jack Means, was drunk. He was angry when his girlfriend wouldn't buy him alcohol, so he decided to call 911.
We went to his house tonight and asked us to leave.
"The more time that is being spent going to these calls that are not 911-related, somebody's life could be in danger," said Naples resident Leslie Colburn.
"Certainly a waste of the officers' time and the emergency response teams' time. And I would say it's a waste of money for us as the taxpayers," said resident Anna Snyder. "I don't like to hear that servicemen and women have to spend their time sorting out something that clearly could've been taken care of between the individuals themselves."
According to the report, deputies spent more than an hour on this non-emergency call.
Jack Means was charged with a misdemeanor for misusing 911.
“Jack Means was charged with a misdemeanor for misusing 911.”
Good. I hope they make hi, pay a hefty fine.
Responders may not be able to get to a true emergency and people may die, because some idiot is tying them up with non-emergency phony calls.
About 9 years ago when I stilled lived in an apartment I had a neighbor who called the cops on me. She accused me of trying to poison her cats.
Not much different when the EBT entitled call complaining about not getting a refund on a half eaten pizza.
...better yet, getting short changed on a drug deal
Why did you do that?
I didn’t. The cop told me that she accused the previous 3 renters as well. They wanted to build a case to put her in an asylum.
It’s Florida.
Florida seems to have a preponderance for attracting alcohol abusers.
I thought the same thing about Ohio.
That may be, but I certainly saw it whenever I went to Florida.
This is about the same level of charge that Obama will allow for Mrs. Bill Clinton's thousands of committed felonies related to classified information.
When did you stop beating your wife?
