The big difference between Cruz and Reagan is that Reagan was inspiring. Cruz is not inspiring in the least.

Cruz isn’t a legendary celebrity going on 30 years in Texas like Trump.

The real reason why Cruz didn't get to 50% in Texas is that people don't like him. In other words, he is an asshole.

Yes, Jeff Roe is an a-hole. Much bigger than Roger Stone. I say that because Roger Stone didn't cause someone to commit suicide:

Cruz Should Drop Out Since He Got Only 43.8% in Texas!
Opinion ^ | 8 Apr 16 | Xzins

Sometimes it is amazing what comes out of the mouthpiece of a campaign.

Ted Cruz’s challenged campaign manager is proclaiming that Trump should drop out if he cannot get over 50% in New York.

In that case, Cruz should drop out because he only got 43.8% in Texas. The opposition vote in Texas was 27% for Trump, but then 18, 4, and 4, for Rubio, Kasich, and Carson respectively. IOW, a non-Trump vote of only 26%.

Kasich is running second in New York, and Cruz had 18% at last count, well below the non-Trump vote in Texas of 26%. In fact, Cruz is in danger of scoring zero chance at any delegates in New York since there is a 20% lower threshold.

So, to wrap this up, if Cruz cannot get any delegates, and cannot beat Trump’s 27% from Texas, then CRUZ should drop out.

Not Trump.

It was a stupid comment but it didn’t come from Cruz, it came from his campaign manager.

That line seems to be used a lot in defense of Cruz "but it didn’t come from Cruz, it came from ____________"

For example:

Cruz didn't say that Carson quit the race in Iowa, it came from _________

Cruz didn't run that ad about Trump's wife, it came from ____________

....

Cruz’s Harvard arrogance won’t let him quit.

The Canadian narcissist is insane. The front runner should drop out just to make way for Number Two? The man needs a PET scan to determine what’s going on up there in his noggin.

>> That’s pretty moral.

Why don’t you tell the class all about the “conservatism” of Trump insiders Roy Cohn and Roger Stone?

“In 1996, Stone resigned from a post as a volunteer spokesman in Senator Bob Dole’s campaign for president after The National Enquirer wrote that Stone had placed ads and pictures in racy swingers publications and a website seeking sexual partners for himself and his second wife, Nydia Bertrane Stone”

And of his "good friend" Jeff Epstein?

You seem to be getting a little ahead of yourself, like myself what are you offering other than your “opinion”? Maybe to yourself your “opinion” has no more validity than my “opinion” but that’s not the way i’m seeing it. Try this one on for size, your opinion has no more validity to it than my opinion until future events occur at which time will will be able to determine who’s prone to insane delusions. .........fair enough?

Bears repeating (emphasis added):

Ted Cruz is a sitting Senator from Texas.

It doesn't matter if there were six (reality) or sixteen, he should have been able to carry 50% of the voters no matter what.

You do know that your links do not go to the correct vote. But that was told to you before, you just failed to listen.

Did Cruz answer the ads?

Stone was for many years a lobbyist for Donald Trump on behalf of his casino business [23] and was also involved in opposing expanded casino gambling in New York State, a position that brought him into conflict with Governor George Pataki.[24]"

...
Stone served as an advisor to the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump.[45] He left the campaign on August 8, 2015.[46]

Maybe you should ask "outsider' Trump if he did?

Tyypical, again in your zeal to attack, you misread the gist of the post...like yesterday when you put out mis- information.

Slyfox was stating that Cruz did well to receive 43% because all names were on the ballot. Not because of the number running...The number of people on the ballot does not change...that was my point.

Please explain your math on this?
Getting 44% in a five man race is like getting 74% in a three man race.

In fairness, I happened to access two sources that led me to believe fewer people were on the ballot in Texas.

There were 14.

This post was presented to clarify the issue.

My initial response what that Cruz didn’t only get 43.8% because of a large field, 12 plus. He only had five serious challengers.
