I felt sorry for Nixon, and I felt sorry for Bush-41, and I even felt sorry for Romney after losing to Obummer, but I am having a real hard time feeling sorry for Ted Cruz. His ambition to become president is bigger than any Trump building.
They used the photo to show her in an unflattering, negative light. The ad used the exact tactics outlined by the Cruz supporter and super-lobbyist on-air, weeks earlier.
This is not rocket science to understand there was an organized effort to drag Mrs. Trump into the mix.
Cruz should have immediately within the hour, strongly discouraged the SuperPAC from running the ads.
He did not. He is tainted because of that. /eos
Trump had a trump card all along. Maybe that is why Cruz went easy on Trump from the start because he knew Trump knew? And maybe why Trump did not bother to attack Cruz is that Trump - an amatuer first time politician but a genius one - figured out Cruz would be his real opposition in this election cycle so he held back his ace card like a boss. If he ever needed or wanted to he could just bring it out and end it all. He let Cruz portray himself even more holier than thou to the electorate who did not really know him so when the revelation ever came it would be devastating.
My speculation - how I see it being played. If this is the case Bill and Hillary Clinton just shit their depends at what Trump will do to them.
I applaud your lucidity AND your attitude. I hope to get there. I didn’t start out this bitter and hopefully I’ll lose some of my snarky edge in the next few days.
I’ve been saying I do not know this Ted Cruz running right now. It really is disappointing. If you only knew how hard I worked to get this man elected and how many times I defended him to liberal moonbats! Then to be called all kinds of names because I can’t support his weirdness now?

Stop blaming Trump - Cruz started this crap. He could have ordered or sent word to the Super PAC to remove the ad. Remember how quickly he got rid of the hooker in one of the ads? The enquirer didn’t pull this story together in 36 hours. Cruz knew it was coming, and launched his Melania attack ad as a distraction. And to get some sexual slander into Trump so he wasn’t alone.
Cynical as hell, but that’s sure what it looks like.

The thing about Trump is: he is what you see. If you like it, like I do, you’re all in. You know everything about him because he hides nothing. If you don’t like it, you can move on.
