Donald Trump crushes John Kasich — among those with bad credit
MarketWatch ^ | 3-15-2016 | Brett Arends

Supporters of “Deadbeat Donald” Trump are far more likely to have bad credit scores than the supporters of his Republican rivals, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

More than 20% of the people nationwide supporting Trump have a bad credit rating, compared to just 10% for Kasich, a new survey reveals.

And while Trump supporters may look down their noses at the supporters of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, when you look at their credit scores they’re not all that different. Trump supporters are nearly as likely to have bad ratings as Clintonistas and those “Feeling the Bern” — and are actually slightly less likely to have “good” ratings.

No, this isn’t your father’s Republican Party.

The remarkable insight into the current political maelstrom comes not from a political or partisan source, but from WalletHub, a company that provides online personal finance information. It conducted a survey of a representative audience of 765 people across the country between March 9 and March 13.

Credit scores only offer a quick snapshot of a group of people, naturally. But marketers have found that credit ratings in aggregate are surprisingly good predictors of attitudes and behaviors, which is why lenders and even employers look at them.

According to WalletHub, about two thirds of voters have “good” or “excellent” credit scores and about one third have “bad” or “fair.” But a few details stand out from the survey.

The first is that Kasich supporters are in a league of their own. They have by far the best credit ratings, on average. Some 86% have “excellent” or “good” scores. No other candidate’s supporters even breaks 70%. Kasich’s supporters are half as likely to have bad or fair ratings as anyone else.

So they survey 795 people. Wonder how many were Kasich supporters. Surely not that many. So his sample would be much smaller than other candidates and therefore subject to statistical inaccurancy. I often use this true example. 50% of the girls in my grade school class have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Yes it is true. There were 2 of us girls in the class and the other girl got it, therefore I can extrapolate that the breast cancer rate for women my age is 50%.

They vote too. And after 8 years of president trump their credit becomes better and job outlook increases tremendously. Vote trump no matter your position in life. It may just be a temporary bump in the road.

And, naturally, this kind of crap journalism only offers a quick snapshot of a group of people that call themselves journalists.

This is the best they can come up with?

Credit ratings are interesting numbers.

Did you know your “credit rating” will suffer if you shop around too much?

It’s not even required to actually fill out all the details of a real credit application now, all you need do is list your real name and address, while shopping for a car or furniture, or looking for a new apartment.

Your “credit rating” will suffer hits each time, AS IF YOU HAD ACTUALLY APPLIED/BEEN GRANTED CREDIT FOR A SPECIFIC AMOUNT.

It goes away after a few weeks, and your “credit rating” returns to “normal levels”.

But whats even worse, is media and politicians can now also “hit” your credit ratings, merely by inquiring about it...

Flash: New study shows that 75% of Trump supporters know how to write in cursive. This compared to Cruz (22.5%), Kasich (12.3%), Sanders (4.8%) and SWMNBN (what’s cursive?)

Just as informative as the story.

I have a credit rating above 800. He is crushing Hong Kong Phooey with us, too.

Wife checked ours two days ago. 811 out of a possible 815. Now I’m wondering why the 4 points aren’t there.

Did you drink something in the last day? Water, juice, soda, beer? People with low credit scores did. That must be where your 4 points went.

I call BS on this stupid poll. Who cares? Maybe people with bad credit ratings want jobs - you know, jobs that have flown the country because of NAFTA and high business taxes.

There are no secrets.

Funny how they leave out some salient info while trying to make it look like most of the "trailer park trash" are Trump supporters. Many people who didn't have bad credit took the hit of two terms of Obama and his accessories in destroying the economy and job market. Perhaps a lot of them would like an opportunity to get back on their feet.
