VIDEO UNEARTHED=> Pastor Calls for Execution of Gays – Then Introduces Ted Cruz at Conference
GP ^ | 03/14/16 | Jim Hoft

In November Senator Ted Cruz appeared at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa, where he courted the support of the conference’s organizer, Colorado-based pastor and radio host Kevin Swanson.

Cruz was introduced on the stage by Pastor Kevin Swanson – after he called for the execution of gays at the conference.

Kevin Swanson: Yes, Romans Chapter 1 verse 32 the Apostle Paul does says that homosexuals are worthy of death. His words not mine! And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God. And I am willing to go to jail…

Now my friends let me introduce to you the next candidate for the office of President of the United States, folks please make welcome Senator Ted Cruz.

That seems a bit extreme. No?

Ted’s father Rafael also spoke at the conference.

At the same conference Pastor Swanson begged God to forgive America for Harry Potter.

Actually, if the media had any fear of Hitlery facing Cruz, this would surface now. If the left believes that it can defeat Trump, they would have this all over the place to eliminate Cruz now. If we don’t hear anything from the msm about this, we’ll know who they want to face. It’s Cruz, and they’ll pull this out in the general.

Cruz is too much a slimy lawyer/politician to send to the general. He appeals to nobody except some of the Christian conservatives.

Misleading headline from a blog I would now call a propaganda site. The pastor simply quoted the bible. And freepers think that is a horrible crime. How far we have slipped.

It’s because it’s news and it should be discussed.

I know you want to ignore this news, and blame Trump for being attacked by Move On and BLM.

A Cruz supporter read a verse from the bible, and in a guilt-by-association slur the candidate is maligned. Now Cruz has done it. He is taking money from homosexuals, and then wanting to kill them.

Really. In some peoples world, this is what they ‘think’. No shame.

Yes, I agree...that was more to another poster that said the media would suppress the video.

Ted Cruz thought throwing in with leftists would help him from those maniacs... Well he was wrong. I. Hope every attack from Right, Left, Center, and even the Communists sticks. Dumb ass layed down with dogs and I’ll enjoy watching him scratch at those fleas. Hope this attack damages his support.

When you say someone is “worthy of death”.

That’s calling for them to be killed.

You can say it’s not, but that’s debatable that most people would disagree with you about.

For an article about Ted Cruz, they seem strangely disinterested in anything Ted Cruz had to say.

You must feel threatened by Ted Cruz is all I know.

If I posted every MSM/Internet hit piece on Trump it would take all day & all night.

I know you would like the nomination just bestowed upon Trump, but you'll have to win the delegates before I get onboard.

Not by rational people with an understanding of the context. That God may call for their death is within his prerogative, but no one is suggesting that Homosexuals be killed, and it is deliberately dishonest to characterize it that way.

Here is the verse. Nothing about executing. It’s like saying smokers will die for their behavior.

Rom 1:32
(32) who, knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in those practicing them.

At the same conference Pastor Swanson begged God to forgive America for Harry Potter.

Not your religion, Mr. Hoft? Our candidates apparently are being accused of associating with Christians. The Founders would not have raised an eyebrow. Are you too good for them? Their government was better, and their lives were better lived.

And for the record, Mr. Hoft: The Harry Potter books are positively writhing with witchcraft, spells, obscene little jokes blaspheming Christ and Christianity, and for good measure, lots and lots of homosexual innuendo.

Evangelical Christianity doesn't happen to be my style or flavor, but if this shocks or alarms you, you need to get out more. You seem to have the wrong friends.

This has already been posted, so why do you post it again if you think it’s B.S. ?

This was a conference on religious liberty and other candidates were there as well. Is Cruz supposed to know what someone else is going to say before or after he goes on stage?

People are taking cheap shots at Trump and Cruz all day long. You can pay attention to it, you can take part in it, if you want to. Or you can just remember that who you knew them to be the day before the campaign started is who they are. And ignore the cheap shots.

If Trump can be criticized over who he associates with, then so can Cruz.

What you are advocating is a fallacy known as "Tu Quoque", and it means that wrongdoings by one party, make wrongdoings by another party acceptable.

No it doesn't.

Has Cruz disavowed anything that this preacher has said?

The headline doesn’t match the content. He never called for the execution of gays. He cited a Bible verse that said they will die.

If the pastor is such a nutcase, why must they misquote what he said?
