GAINING ATTENTION these days is the idea of abolishing high denominations of the dollar and the euro. This concept graphically displays the astonishing stupidity-and intellectual bankruptcy-of today's liberal economic policymakers and the economics profession. Larry Summers, a former Treasury Secretary and Harvard president, is pushing the U.S. to ban $50 and $100 bills. There's a lot of chatter, too, about prohibiting the 500 note. The ostensible reason is to help in the fight against terrorists, bribers, drug dealers and tax evaders by making it more inconvenient for these bad guys to move around and store their ill-gotten cash........ If the Obama Administration really wants to deny resources to terrorists, why is it giving tens of billions of dollars back to the globe's terrorism central, Iran? The real reason for this war on cash-start with the big bills and then work your way down-is an ugly power grab by Big Government. People will have less privacy: Electronic commerce makes it easier for Big Brother to see what we're doing...

Indeed.
As several Biblical scholars I have listened to lately have stated, the convergence of prophecy and real world headlines and events leads me to believe we are very close to the Tribulation.
Thank you for posting that. I pray that verse often.
I thought that if wholesale destruction of our freedoms these past 20 years wasn't enough, then nothing could bump us off bottom-dead-center. Haven't we been way too “disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right them by abolishing the forms to which we are accustomed?”
But, if government isn't satisfied with heavy taxation at every turn and decides to outright steal money from our accounts, . . . certain individuals should fear for their safety.
Now more than ever it essential for the sovereign people to get a grip on this creature, this beast called government that seeks our impoverishment.
Article V while we can.
Simple - because one government software ace could then take all your money with the flip of a switch.
It’s h*ll for money-wasters in government to wait until April every year to seize your dough.
Take heart - as we head deeper into the cesspool that God told us was our future, before He comes back to set things right, once Satan achieves his goal, another switch will be activated and the Lord will make the victory a short one.
My dad used to tell the story of our state when a sales tax was first introduced. The legislatures promised it was only temporary. That it was to pay for a certain thing and when paid for it would automatically end.
He said yes, it is only temporary, you stop paying it when you die.
The politicians are seldom reigned in, and just keep making themselves more powerful using our own income. A very tyrannical situation.
while the 500 and 1000 were mostly for banks, they were still legal tender and did circulate.
It’s not about money or terrorist or tax evader or criminal or whatever other excuses they come up with control, it’s about CONTROL; absolute power.
This is an interesting story regarding the government's ability to reach into your bank account. A good friend of mine’s father passed away on the 27th of the month a couple year's back right before the weekend. His SS payment was automatically deposited every month directly into his bank account at the time. He received his SS electronically deposited payment a few days after his death (the beginning of the week). My friend had knowledge of his account right after he passed. Within a day of it being deposited the SS payment was retrieved from his account. My friend hadn't even have time to report his passing to SS this all occurred so quickly. Again, payment automatically deposited then removed just days after his death.
How was SS able to retrieve the payment from his bank account? Would be an interesting question. It may have been some form of electronic stop payment. But it was alarming they dipped into his account to retrieve the payment, nonetheless. The death certificate wasn't even printed yet!
Incredibly disturbing that this type of thing happened. This is the world of electronic deposits and the ability for them to be taken at will without due process. Is this a preview into the individuals loss of control of their money in a ‘cashless’ society?
[$500 & $1000 bills were commonly in circulation until the late 60s, when in June 1969]
I assume you mean $5,000 and $10,000. I had $500 and $1000 bills regularly in 1996. Of course, I had money then and decent employment.......since Obama..............
..depends on where you try to pass it...
That always has me on the floor!
