Donald Trumps distinctive rhetorical style think of a drunk with a bullhorn reading aloud James Joyces Finnegans Wake under water poses an almost insuperable challenge to people whose painful duty is to try to extract clarity from his effusions. For example, last week, during a long stream of semi-consciousness in Fort Worth, this man who as president would nominate members of the federal judiciary vowed to open up libel laws to make it easier to sue to intimidate and punish people who write negative things. Well. Trump, the thin-skinned tough guy, resembles a campus crybaby who has wandered out of his safe space.
Trump is a presidential aspirant who would flunk an eighth-grade civics exam. More than anything Marco Rubio said about Trump in Houston, it was Rubios laughter at Trump that galled the perhaps bogus billionaire. Like all bullies, Trump is a coward, and like all those who feel the need to boast about being strong and tough, he is neither....

George: Trump exists because the Uniparty (of which you are a founding member) never takes a conservative action.
TRUMP IS YOUR FAULT, GEORGE!

“This is what Trump was talking about, he wasn’t seeking anything new, just a return to what the founding fathers knew to be true.”
No.
Trump was talking about opening libel laws because he doesn’t like reading or hearing negative press about him. It’s an intimidation tactic. The press has no right to libel. No one is arguing that. But who wants to fight a politician in court who has access to government agencies to bring down on them. How many times have politicians claimed bad press written about them is a lie? Well, what could end up happening, and the history or the Fairness Doctrine proves this, is a reporter may decide to not print something about a certain politician that may hurt their career but be true as the hassle wouldn’t be worth it. Even the threat of suing someone can force them to back down as the threat will be an intimidation tactic. And we’ve witnessed how Trump reacts to criticism.
It sounds great now. I mean, you’re not going to find too many sympathizers here for the MSM. But what happens when the same tactic is used against this site or Rush or Savage. Slippery slope and don’t forget the law of unintended consequences

The GOP establishment has been working a scam on the GOP voters by promising them that free trade would help them get jobs while all it did was enrich corporations at the expense of American livelihoods. All the rest of that conservative rhetoric was just window dressing to keep the free trade scam going so the electorate can be distracted.
In one word YES!!!!!
In the bed, nice goose down pillows, a luxurious duvet, high firm mattress, aromatic, awesome. The only ones screaming about hate are the GOPe and the do-it-for-money crowd like Will. End the ruination of America with open borders into a welfare state disarmed by dogmatic free trade. Make America Great Again !
Amen GG!
Gee, it must be interesting standing strong with the GOPe!
That is correct and necessary. Without any brake the newspapers have degenerated into battering rams shaping and controlling the news and destroying lives with false reporting. The press are stealing freedom of choice from the American People by eliminating the sources of accurate information.
With every Freedom comes Responsibility. The press were given a higher level of freedom because it important that the American people get the facts and they have refused all of the responsibility for accuracy & objectivity. Britain manages to retain freedom of speech in the press while making them responsible for accuracy. America can do the same.
I don’t think his supporters will bat an eye at any expansion of Federal power under Trump.
That said, Will has only people like himself to blame for the rise of Trump. So, thanks for nothing, George.

I didn’t read the article, and am glad of it just reading this sentence above. But this proves my point that NR is just writing on one theme. There must be a white board up in their offices which has just two thematic words on it to their editorial staff: GET TRUMP.
Really? If a drunk was reading FW underwater with a bullhorn, it would just be Loud, Slow, Unintelligible, and STUPID. Ask the Republican voters in this country if that is how Trump’s speeches sound to them.
Trump is resonating with the American people, whom clearly NR has no respect for at all. He isn’t filled with flowery orations like a carefully written Kennedy or even early Obama speech. We don’t want flowery oration. We don’t even want the bleeping teleprompters. We want the truth. And sometimes the truth needs to be repeated to be remembered. Trump speaks to us like Christie does. Just “Hey. America. This is what is going on. Let’s make it stop.”
The American people like that, and have legitimate hope that maybe Trump can make it stop.
To me, NR sounds like a desperate kid who got caught cheating on his exam and is now hiding in the cloak closet saying he didn’t do it. Spewing guilty lies that there is no point even in listening to.
Keep it classy!
I was a Cruz supporter until it starting coming out how he supported the increase of HB-1 visas. That directly effects my household. The HB-1 is killing the IT industry and good paying jobs. Then came Ted's vote of support for Obamatrade. That finished it for me.
It burns me that you assume a position of superior knowledge, intellect and perspicacity. Who gave you the job of making sure we “know” what kind of man Trump is and what higher authority anointed your views as the ultimate truth?
These two covers are pretty disgusting aren’t they, TWO LOSERS but Trump is NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!!!
And I find it odd that the “principled conservatives” here on FR have opted to support a man who is the antithesis of both of those words.
Accuracy would seem irrelevant to the vast majority of Trump supporters.
As you can easily see on this thread, most of them can do no better than hurl insults -- insult Will, insult fellow FR posters, insult Trump's competitors.
Anyway, as has been true at least since the time of Socrates and Aristotle, we know that the man who can do no better than make ad hominem attacks is a man whose views lack solid factual and logical bases.
Republicans did nothing to stop Obama for two terms. The voters are suppose to continue down the same long and winding road? The voters are angry wanting someone to do something to stop the non-sense. If the MSM media does not elect Trump nobody is going to watch them anymore. Sports and entertainment will get a boost. The country will go back to sleep not caring what is happening.
Thanks for the picture post !

Just his own words, statements both past and present. You know, little things like that.
I mean, far be it for me to judge a candidate one that unimportant stuff. I mean, I should just swallow everything someone running for office tells me, right? never question them, right?
