"Data from the Federal Election Commission and state elections offices provided by the two websites show that Trump has given $584,850 to Democrats and $961,140 to the GOP over the last 26 years." (this is at the Federal level and does not include state or local)

Prove it, or else you really are lying.
Seriously? Another stupid vanity question. Have you been living under a rock?? He talks about this at every rally and if you’re to ignorant to understand, nothing is going to help us. Otherwise, stop with the idiotic vanities designed to incite a feud on here.
It it hilarious in Illinois to see supporters of Rauner - an outsider businessman, who donated to both sides, and was never previously elected to public office, promoting his “Turn Around Plan” to ‘make Illinois great again’. Sound familiar? Yet some/many Rauner supporters vilify Trump for using similar tactics and message.
I agree with a lot you have said here. People very rarely comment about his children... Short of the “ if my daughter wasn’t my daughter I’d whatever” comment. He seems to have raised , so far, some very decent, hardworking and generous kids. If you listen to his son Eric and the work he’s done for St. Jude...it’s really quite commendable. No, Trump does not fit into a neat little conservative Christian box. If that’s what a person is looking for then by all means vote for someone else. That’s the beauty of America. But it’s really disheartening to hear someone’s faith questioned if they want to vote for Trump.
OK, Trump is a businessman. Functioning nationwide requires ‘donations’ to all politicians to get things done or at the very least for those politicians to at least take your call.
I see the same thing locally - one needs to be on the inside locally to get things done, especially involving land usage issues. One can ‘be’ an outsider and still want to participate in making money.
Trump’s ‘donations’ during the time he was a businessman should not enter into the voting equation.
Really, it’s very simple.
HELL FREAKING NO !
And then he played the game and retired one of the wealthiest men in the world.
Of he had not played, then everything you described would have happened to him.
Gate is no Trump.
Yay! We finally have a winner.
Of the dumbass prize.
I guess you think he runs that airplane on his over drawn credit card.
You could not even buy one of the tires for that thing, or pay the fuel cost it takes just to get that thing to the takeoff position on the runway.
You post is embarrassing.
All the left enemies too. ;-)
Do you live in the US? Do you file tax returns? Nothing on my tax return indicates my net worth or the amount of money I have.
I enjoyed reading the responses to this thread. Many who have their own businesses ‘get’ Trump.
That said, **Trump has given $584,850 to Democrats and $961,140 to the GOP over the last 26 years**
I’d like to know how much Rubio and Cruz have given.
Oops forgot to turn the italics off. Srry.
You haven’t disproven my post.
And, some of those contributions are to get protection from all the other people who have their hands out without which you will be bankrupt before you start.
Great reply, nobody splains it better than Rodney.
We all know that rich people buy politicians all the time. For example, Trump just bought Chris Christie.
63 posts and finally the actual example is posted by you!!
Thanks, hope others re-read and remember it!!
That's the right answer. Trump has really had no choice, as a businessman, but to pay to play. That IS the way things are, especially in big cities. You don't pay the city officials off, you don't get your zoning or construction permits; you don't pay off the unions, your project doesn't get done, permits or no; don't pay the unions enough, the job costs a bunch.
