It makes no sense.
At least it makes no sense if Christie and Trump are serious.
But they are politicians, self interest is all there is.
It also makes sense in that they are fake conservatives liberals.
We all knew that about pro-Muslim, pro-mosque Christie for a long time.

Makes sense if Christie gets some consideration for tainting Trump.

How about Cruz saying pro-amnesty Rubio would be a much better president than Trump?
To: ifinnegan
It makes no sense.

It makes sense in this way. Christie is New Jersey. It may help Trump in the Northeast, New York in particular. Christie has the best prosecutorial brain and mouthpiece to go with it that is out there to advocate Trump's positions. Cruz is smart and a good debater but he can not hold a candle to Christie's prosecutorial prowess. If there is one thing that is certain, it is that Trump is his own man. If Christie crosses Trump up on positions, Christie is history.

Okay, he's secure.

To: ifinnegan
Actually if you read Conservative Treehouse you’ll find that fat boy was a Trump operative at the top level of Republican Party the entire time - so he had to take those crappy positions to keep on the inside.

It makes complete sense. He wants a big job in the Trump administration, probably Attorney General.

The “fat boy” term is a good one. We need more fat boy. Fat Boy Burgers!!! I want my Fat Boy now! Gimme some double decker Super Fat Boys with a pound of meat. The more over the top, the better. Can I drive up to the window and get my order? Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Really sucks to have a turncoat in your ranks, doesn't it.
Now you know how conservatives and anyone who loves the US, has felt since the 1960s -- and especially since Mr. New World Order after Reagan, who gave us Clinton on a silver platter by cowardly saying "Wouldn't be...prudent" while fellating himself.

H.W. Bush opposed Supply Side economics. Every one of Reagan’s cabinet opposed Star Wars. Yet they made a great administration. Imagine that.
