There's no legal restriction preventing him from releasing his tax returns, even if he's being audited...

Now...a company the size of Trump’s may get audited on a regular basis. But if that wasn’t the case...wonder who put the bug in the IRS’ ear? Hmmmm.....Hillary? The Big O? makes you wonder, given the state/makeup of the IRS at this time.
I was audited lasts year for the first time since the 1970’s when I was audited then. I give a lot to church and conservative organizations....coincidence??
If he’s worth his weight as a business man, he’s been audited several times and taken every deduction he’s eligible to and then some. We are obliged to play the tax game the government put in front of us and I’m sure he’s played it hard. Can’t fault a guy for that. That said, I’d bet what Trump will want to avoid is having everyone discover how shaky his real-estate house of cards really is. His stated net worth is likely akin to a good fish story.
However, it revealed Mitt Romney as a hypocrite at best. In 2012, Reid and Palosi, both of the OPPOSITION party, demanded that Romney release his taxes and falsely implied all kinds of irregularities.
Now Romney is doing the same thing and with unsubstantiated innuendos to the front runner of HIS OWN party. It is dishonest and despicable of Romney. Even Greta on FOX said this.
Of course there isn’t a legal restriction but anyone who has been in business knows you don’t make it as easy as possible for auditors to “claw back” money. Of course since these guys are all politicians they have no idea the type of havoc their rules have put on businesses
Sarcasm is not liking it ...
Pick a fight somewhere else.
Thanks nooby, you are very perspicacious ...
Or after Hillary releases the Clinton Crime Family Foundation returns.
“I could care less about Trumps taxes, not an issue.”
You could, care less? Which means you care...right?
Trump’s tax returns don’t show his net worth his audited financials do. Those were filed mos ago.
So... you have made money, Jenny?
Well, congrats. way to go.
We’re still in the Republican primary.
We already know Obama and Kerry are evil.
Some of us are wondering about Trump unless questioning Trump has become illegal, immoral or fattening on Free Republic.
You are right. There are probably iffy items in his tax returns but we don’t need to see them (and we won’t) to realize he is a blooming idiot.
I’m beginning to think all these Trump supporters are the Trump University grads and they are the ones that didn’t sue because Trump is just too wonderful to sue.
Idiocracy lives.
All these Trumpers are disparaging release of tax returns because Trump won’t release his.
Everything Trump does is wonderful.
Everything Trump won’t do, doesn’t deserve doing.
“Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.”
Trump trashing has become the water
we swim in on this forum. But it
goes beyond that to attacking his
supporters. It’s mobs and pitchforks
all the way down.
Look, I’m sorry if you don’t like what I say about Trump.
It’s critical and maybe what you call trashing. But I feel that Trump is a disaster and would be a gigantic disappointment as president.
I have suffered countless slings and arrows here as a Cruz supporter.
I do not even have it in me to get as nasty as the Trump supporters have been to me.
So take that whining somewhere else.
Of course there is no LEGAL restriction, just a common sense restriction. Even non-university grads should understand that, unless they never held a job in the private sector.
As directed by the Constitution, a presidential candidate:
1) Must be a natural born citizen of the United States,
2) must be a resident for 14 years,
3) must be 35 years of age or older
I don’t see “releasing tax returns to the GOP Establishment” as one of the items in the list!
