In the final day of a three-day tracking poll in South Carolina, momentum is favoring Donald Trump, who leads in the Republican contest with 36% of likely primary voters, up 3 points since Tuesday. Marco Rubio (19%) and Ted Cruz (18%) remain locked in a battle for second. Cruz has seen a 2 point drop since Tuesday while Rubio has stayed at 19%.
John Kasich and Jeb Bush were tied at 10%, and Ben Carson is in last with 6%.

You could ask their campaign. I would think if he underperformed the RCP average by three or more. While you're at it, ask the Cruz campaign if it would be a disappointment to finish third, while Trump out performs the polls.....
Told you Murdoch was targeting Cruz
Yes but Trump has higher negatives...
The guy in the lead is the most unpopular I tell ya. Listen to me darn it.
You have to listen!
I’m riiiiiiiiiiiiigggggghhhhtttt!!!!
> This moment of serenity brought to you by the victims of TPT, a degenerative disease afflicting some Republican voters.
> Third Place Ted
> You start feeling dizzy, losing is winning and winning is sinful
> Hitler comes to mind and everyone but you starts to look just like him
Good freaking grief....
Since when is victory spelled disappointment?
Yeah.
The signs are there.
I’m a Cruz guy and there’s NO WAY Trump loses SC.
I dont care about the trump rally threads. the people supporting him are happy.
just dont want to see hit pieces on Ted. There’s no reason with the margin he is leading by.
i dont know. Maybe Billy Joel was right. He may be crazy. But it just may be a lunatic we’re looking for :)
It’s demoralizing to have a big bump and then have those hopes dashed 24 hours later.
That’s intentional in my book.
And Rubio rose.
They need to get rid of Cruz to get Rubio and the establishment in a one on one with Trump.
Somehow we need to not let that happen. We want the last 2 to be Trump/Cruz.
I like that Trump/Rubio idea. That would bring the Rubio voters in, correct?
Cruz campaign's STUPID photo-shop picture of Rubio shaking hands with Obama probably helps those thoughts become even more sensible. Even the NBC AM newscasters were saying "why did Cruz do that"?
Lol. Go back to bed. You’re still dreaming ;-)
Missed the CRuz photoshopped pic of Rubio. Will have to look for it.
A losing one. This is the big lie in the Media, that Trump winning, unless it is a double digit grand slam is a “lose” for him. NO, that just more media “feed the horse race mentality” nonsense.
I don’t trust Cruz at all. Lying and his dirty tricks is not principled at all.
I asked since there seems to be a need on the part of his supporters to predict a seeming landslide. Thought there might be a flip side to that. Should have known better.
Well you’ll have to pardon me for thinking that sounded an awful lot like the MSM trying to make a win sound like a negative.
Polls are reflecting a 35% to 18% lead, so I’d imagine some folks might see that as a fairly impressive lead.
Wouldn’t you?
I have organized a prayer vigil of like-minded infidels. Some are praying for Ted to finish 3rd, but most are praying for 4th. Go Kasich! We need a hug!
Absolutely. I might not post each increase in the lead in Breaking News as it was released, but, it is impressive.
Cruz photoshopping the anti-Rubio ad sure isn’t going to help him. For someone that two of the candidates regularly proclaim is a liar and a cheat, that was a profoundly stupid move.
Poll not taken by a Fox Murdoch affiliate. Likely close to the real vote.
