Bill Cosby's lawyer says the comedian was charged with a decade-old sex crime simply because a prosecutor was fulfilling a campaign promise.
She also says that once she and Cosby can speak freely, âeverything will be made clear.â
Speaking on NBCâs âTodayâ show Thursday, attorney Monique Pressley said Cosby has been unjustly accused but is in good spirits and will be exonerated.

If he lives long enough, hopefully he’ll rot in jail.
Bill Cosby’s lawyer: ‘Everything will be made clear’
It certainly will
With our current media nothing is clear.
Exceptionally bad choice of words. Has the lawyer ever heard of a "meme" or the word "viral"?
Once the drugs wear off?
Has he been found guilty yet or do you like going past the justice system and declaring them guilty t rot in jail
One way or another the criminal trial process should shed a lot of light on the situation. While the volume of accusations is certainly suspicious, little or no evidence has accompanied those accusations. It will be interesting to see what evidence is presented in the case.
Cosby confessed to drugging women.
typical conservative self righteous turning before there is evidence
Seems to sum up as - He was a horndog. The women he “raped” wanted to be around a big movie star. He got impatient and drugged them unnecessarily to have sex when their type wouldn’t have needed it had he just waited a little longer.
The women he admitted to ‘drugging’ knowingly took the drugs he gave them.
Rushing to judgment can be a catastrophic thing.
Cosby’s opening statement to the jury: “Excuse me while I whip this out”
I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for him inviting dozens of white women back to his hotel, giving them booze and drugs, and having sex with them when they were semi- or unconscious.
And then we’ll all have a laugh at what a big misunderstanding the whole thing was!
He was a big hero around here for a long time just because he told the nebroids to pull their pants up and get a job.
Careful who you worship.
Yup
Did he confess to drugging them, or did he confess to sharing his drugs with them?
It may sound like a fine line, but there’s a big difference between drugging someone (without their knowledge and consent), and providing someone with drugs (which they may decide to take, or not).
I haven’t seen or heard the actual confession, or read the transcript of it. I don’t ask this question as a defense, or accusation. I ask, because I’d like to know.
This prosecution is all politically motivated by the useful dupes of team Billary.
WHY?
To run interference during the campaign designed to minimize the perversity factor of Bill Clinton...
...after all if these accusations swirl around a respected man like Bill Cosby...’why it can happen to anyone’.
He said he gave them drugs to take willingly. That is apparently what the woman in this case is claiming.
That is different from secretly drugging women.
The trial will hopefully answer a lot of questions and we will get a clear picture of whether he is guilty.
