Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.
"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."
An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.
Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."
According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.
"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."
So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."

Pretty tropical views!
I was looking for a song from the concert yesterday, but I don’t know the title and wasn’t getting lucky. However, I found the pretty girl with the cheerful rhythm.
And you were right on both assessments! It was a little catchy, too, and though my Spanish is limited (only a year in high school) I know enough to understand most of what was being sung.
We’re missing cheese. And I’ve always wanted to go to Cheddar, to taste the REAL cheese!

91 degrees, heading for a high of 108 today and 112 tomorrow. At last, I can be WARM! NE @ 1 mph and 11%. A little more breeze and the day would be perfect, but I won’t complain.
It was so cold in the event venue yesterday! Cary and I were sharing an extra sweater Miss Nilda had brought ... she joked about charging us rent! Some people had obviously been there before: they had blankets.
I think it’s pretty easy to understand Christian music in a language you know only a little, because you have a good idea what the message is going to be.

Cheddar gorge is just a scale model of the Grand Canyon. Built and designed to fit into a smaller space.

My cheese tastes are a lot like my dad’s and he liked sharp Cheddar. He also ate dry cheese sandwiches — cheese and a big slice of onion between two slices of white bread. No mayo. I eat the same without the onion, as I only eat them in self-defense!
When he ate a toasted (or grilled) cheese sandwich, he wanted both sides of the bread toasted (or grilled) and that’s the way I’ve always done it. It just tastes better that way!
I don’t warm up until this time of year, so I really look forward to the heat.
Once it gets down to 85, I put a light jacket or heavy shirt on. I’m like a lizard on a rock in the summer. :o])

And since my monitor at church has developed a snit and is dysfunctional I didn't even try the regular notes. Since I know I tend to go flat if I can't hear me I refuse to sing on mic sans monitor.

I suppose that some day I will need to 'fix' that issue. It has to do with rearranging the feed from the mixer to the 'monitor 2' device. Now all of a sudden the old way isn't working. Well it is but it has developed an annoying hum due to the length of the unbalanced line and a change of both monitor location and amps. I need about 50' of mic cable. I have the bal-un device..
Well.. the dude has a Roland keyboard but I don’t get a good enough/long enough view to see which one. Looks like maybe an XP-80..

I told my choir that I’ll pick really easy songs for next week, because I don’t know when my voice will be back.
