ISIS Surrenders in face of Climate Change Conference

Raqqa, Syria

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.

"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."

An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.

Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."

According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.

"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."

So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."

Vlad missed one question out of 120. His test was 4th grade, which is the “correct” grade for his age, but most of his workbooks are at higher levels. Sally had a surprising decline in “Language Expression,” but since she’s done so well at that in the past, I’m not concerned. Her math made tremendous improvement.

Sunny and 70s today, and it’s supposed to be 80s later in the week. Much better for swimming!

I’m done with the laundry for one more week, and am headed to Wally’s. Then I will take another morphine and make the bed, and MAYBE sweep the floors.

And the sock Molly has been ordered! I couldn’t see any tiaras, that will fit, so I will have to check out Barbie’s outfits. All I need is the tiara. So we’ll see what I can find.

(And thanks!)

Sunny here and a little warmer, but still windy. *sigh*

Anyway, I’m off...

I’ve got to go to Walmart, too. A friend from Oklahoma is supposed to stop by this afternoon - she’s visiting relatives in NC - and I want to make some snacks.

Back. And I even had a little time to read some doctrine. So, next on the agenda is going out with the peeps, and then coming in to dust the floors and make the bed. And then, I’m done for the day!

I would say, just off-hand, that the extra amounts of colloidal silver are doing me a lot of good. My stamina is better, but still not great. However, I’ll take what I can get.

FWIW: Been to Brandon many times. My mom’s dad was the original blacksmith of Silver Dollar City.

But the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs is nice.

My mom is soon to depart and doesn’t really know what’s going on now. I take comfort in the fact that she’ll never see Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump inaugurated.

Thanks, ArGee. I had a good cry yesterday, and got it out of my system, so I’m good, now.

I’m going to make a sock monkey in Milly’s honor, and that way I can have many occasions to remember the happy face on that little moppet.

:o])

Well, those places hit the spot I needed to see...I seldom go anywhere, any more. And I miss traveling.

I went to Eureka Springs with my son, one year, for a VW rally and BBQ. We crashed the BBQ, but we had a lot of fun. I think my grandson was five, then. He’s 19, now!

We even took pics of part of the Berlin Wall, and also the big Christus on the hill. And FOOD!!! There was so MUCH food!

I don’t know the status on my brother in Mesa, now, just that he “sounds feeble” and has Alzheimer’s. I don’t know how advanced the disease is, but I suspect, at his age, (82?) he won’t be around much longer.

But since he was a jerk in real life, I don’t even know if I will miss or mourn him. My other brother, in CO, is a different story. We’ve always been close.
