Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.
"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."
An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.
Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."
According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.
"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."
So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."
I think Boonton is near Edison. This might be nice to see in summer. Take my godson who will be 10.
I wanted to take him to Northlandz too. That is fun for kids. Kids are fascinated by all their trains.
Boonton is in Morris County north of Parsippany off of I-287 exit 44.
I wonder what town I was thinking of. I know if I’m on Route 1, heading towards Edison /Woodbridge, there is an exit for a town starting with a B, right next to a Dunkin Donuts. .
It still sounds like a nice place to go this summer.

In The Naming of Cats, our family is woefully deficient. At one time, we had an indoor Fluff, and an outdoor Fluff.
The best Name I ever gave a cat was Pogo. He was a good cat.

And Ashdown, the best dog on earth.
We named the reptiles, past and present, though: Susan, Slash, Santana, Alice Cooper, Paula, and Dragonbaby.

Are all named after rockers except Dragonbaby? I’m thinking mAybe Paula for Adul?
My kitties came pre-named too.
Cleopatra and Holly. Both names suited them. Cleo was the most spoiled kitty in the universe and viewed life like the Fancy Feast Cat. Holly was a Christmas rescue, therefore she was a Christmas miracle.,I also love Red Dwarf, so I got double meaning for her.
Naming a kitty is on my bucket list.
I did find a good book. It’s set in a future post-apocalyptic US of A, and folks are part machines, part human, with nanobots that help heal after otherwise fatal injuries.
I only made it about a third of the way through the book, and I could have read more, but it was really gripping and I figured I would be up all night at that rate! LOL!
Anyway, good morning, all. The bathroom is warming up and I will go take a shower in just a few minutes.

Paula (the chameleon) was originally Paco, after the Flamenco guitarist Paco Pena. Then we found she was a she. (”The fact that she was pink should have been a clue,” said the reptile vet.) We chose “Paula” because it was two syllables and started with a P, making the transition easier.
Alice Cooper is the leopard gecko, a refugee from another family. They called him/her “Spot,” but going with our rock’n’roll theme, we changed it. Santana and Slash were the first two dragons, both guitarists. Bill the Son tried several names on the final dragon, but only Dragonbaby stuck.
Don’t know how I missed pinging you on that photo, you troubles with your cranky computers came instantly to mind.

That’s OK, because I identified with it immediately! :o]
I won’t always have cranky computers. As soon as I can (probably in about a year from now) I will have one built for me, and then I won’t have to worry, every again, about repairs and upgrades. The company promises that.
In the meanwhile, I can laugh at the jokes about computers because I’ve experienced some of them on my own!
There is a Brownsville or something along those lines off of Rt. 18 south of the Amboys but I can't picture an exit off Rt. 1 for that.
The United Railroad Historical Society of NJ is a membership thing but they do have open house on occasion and let the public in to look around. If you're planning an outing in that direction best keep an eye on their WEBSITE for info on coming events.
