ISIS Surrenders in face of Climate Change Conference

Raqqa, Syria

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS, announced today that he would be disbanding all forces and returning all land to Syria and Iraq. The move was prompted by the ongoing Climate Conference in Paris.

"This is one thing we could not have anticipated," Mr. al-Baghdadi said in prepared remarks. "When we see the world coming together like this on such a dangerous subject as Global Climate Change, we realize that our Caliphate will never survive. It's only a matter of time before Climate Change is no more and the world's attention turns to us. At that point, we will have no chance. For the sake of the men, women, and children who have supported us, I can not continue a doomed campaign."

An emotional al-Baghdadi did not take any questions.

Sources close to al-Baghdadi who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us that it was becoming more and more difficult to recruit new fighters. "Even our existing people are extremely demoralized," one said. "The words of Donald Trump himself can not overcome our dispair."

According to their press release, surrender is total and immediate. Fighters are being paid and sent home by division. Any remaining money will be put into a fund to resettle Christians and Yazidis who have been displaced by the war.

"We thought the world was fragmented," one strategist was overheard saying to himself. "Who knew it could come together like this? This is a stinging rebuke."

So far there has been no comment from Damascus, Baghdad, Moscow, or Washington. One source inside the Kremlin said, "We are waiting to see if there will be any follow-up action. We want to make sure this is real before we decide on our next steps."

You should be able to cancel that. Are you not able to?

BTW: What is the make, model, and service tag number of your laptop? You can FRmail that last one if you dont’t want to share it with the world.

We had a plan with a limited number of texts once. I never had an issue with it.

I did cancel it, but if it’s like anything else in the computer world, if I don’t respond to it in some way, it will come back. Once that screen was gone, I got the gray screen again.

INSP 3541, NB, CEDAR 15 AMDFBTX, G1VVH52

Those are all the letters and numbers I could find.

When my kids, or anyone else want to talk/text, they use big words.

One of my neighbors has an Obamafone with a plan that will allow only 120 words, then he has to pay .06 a word after that. They charge him for calls after a certain number, too.

And ya know? I remember getting an Obamafone, and it came up missing, and the only thing I can think of is that one of my aides stole it. GAH! That’s pretty tacky to do to a ol’ lady!

Yes, I recognized it. Fortunately Dell uses the same format they’ve always used.

So, I’ve done a bit of female impersonating. You should get a set of recovery media in the mail. If you don’t have any way to read the recovery media because your machine has no appropriately provisioned optical drive we’ll cross that bridge then.

Yeah..

I hear tell the Sopranos hung out there. But what does TV have to do with real life.. ;-)

Bloomfield Avenue, the greatest street in New Jersey, begins humbly on Broadway in Newark's North Ward.

Understatement of the decade at least,

Newark isn't a great city for bookstores....

Noticed zero people in all those photos...must be inside hiding from the murder of all those murderous crows.

Thought Bloomfield Ave extended to Montclair. Resided in Upper Monclair for a handful of years. Lovely little town but wacky liberal.

Well..

Picture if you will some urban area that you are familiar with that is populated by a majority of ferals, low employment, high drug usage, exorbitant crime..

Now you have the mental picture. If you were in New Jersey you could/would name that city (pick one) Paterson, Newark, Trenton, or Camden.

This mental exercise will give you a better understanding of the crow with an ankle monitor and a shiv..

We used to live on 528 Bloomfield St, Hoboken. Old step up brownstone hasn’t been torn down yet. Gentrified town still has vibrant Italian touch.

Lovely little town but wacky liberal.

What else would it be - it's a college town full of minds full of mush. ;-)

Bloomfield Avenue meanders from Newark through Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair, Verona, Cladwell, Essex Fells, Pine Brook and almost Parsippany.. The original road was created to follow/hide the aqueduct pipeline that brought water to Newark from Pompton and was called Newark-Pompton Turnpike. The 'turnpike' left what is now Bloomfield Ave. at Verona and headed more Northerly into the Pompton/Wayne area. That portion is now called Pompton Ave. and is the bottom end of NJ route 23.

If in your time in the area you ventured up Route 23 through Butler/Kinnelon and into Sussex County, you went past some of Newark's water supply. That would include Charlotteburg Reservoir which Newark built by damming the Pequanock River and thereby flooding out one of the railroads (Wharton & Northern, a subsidiary of the New Jersey Central RR) forcing them to relocate their junction with the NYSW but that is trivia for another time. ;-)

Of course, it's pretty hard to tell one town from another now due to sprawl. You have to get further West or North to see open space. ;-)

No. Once I had your service tag number it was able to verify you were still under warranty and I just filled out the forms with your email (yahoo), phone, and address.

I also set up a huge credit line at the Wynn and got myself a new Beemer to be delivered at the Wynn tomorrow evening when I arrive.

Nice things, those Dell service tags.
