Cutting an increasingly frail figure, Burt Reynold arrived in New York yesterday for an interview on Stephen Colbert's 'The Late Show'.
Still using a cane to walk, the 79-year-old star hit the studio as part of his press rounds for new memoir 'But Enough About Me'.
Former Hollywood macho man Reynolds has been suffering ill health for many years now, with back surgery in 2009 leaving him addicted to pain killers.

Don’t forget Smokey and The Bandit movies, as well as one of my all-time faves: “The Longest Yard.”
Age..happens to us all. No one is immune, tho there is an alternative. Bette Davis once stated a very true warning *old age ain’t no place for sissies.* Most of us eventually find ourselves in that location. We go down the dusty road with an entirely new attitude ..about everything.
Yes, do remember he was in Gun Smoke.. Many times that is only a dim memory due to the age issue. :) A blacksmith, right?
Yeah I don’t think the guy is exactly straight although I don’t think he’s ever been caught with a guy. Who knows, he falls in that ambiguously gay territory like Tom Cruise and George Clooney, but something definitely looks ill in Reynolds.
So my uncle was right when he told me that if I married a poor ugly girl I would never have a problem!
Calling uncle Jeffs wife homely would have been a compliment, but he was never unhappy.
Married her when he was 17, had five children and was still married to the same woman when he died at 71.
He also said ugly women worked harder at EVERYTHING (wink, wink) in a marriage.
Unc Jeff was quite a fella.
Actually he looks pretty good.
My 93 year old mother in law lives with us. I have seen it happen. My 85 year old mother seems to be happy sitting in her apartment waiting for the grim reaper to appear.
I’d rather meet the day with hope and a smile.
Yes, he played the blacksmith/gunsmith who was part Indian.
If you ask me, he's still a danged interesting and good-lookin' guy at his advanced age.
Maybe not hot, but still pretty warm, lol.

I have great memories of watching Reynolds in Cannonball Run at a grassy drive-in movie up in the mountains. The sunset before the movie was worth the admission price.
He’s warm. No doubt :).
I am especially impressed with his skin. Dinah Shore looked as good, even better at that age.
BTW: Just heard Burt will be on Fox & Friends.
Any meaning?
Wow needless to say Marlon wasn’t fan.
