My favorites are Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine.
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson at the top of a long list.
Paul Revere, Daniel Morgan, and Henry Knox for the Common Man ideal of the Founding Fathers, where the political maneuvering was resolved in real life.
John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Alexander Hamilton.
Sam Adams.
And Samuel Whittemore (look him up).
ben Franklin....the first party animal and all round wise person.
My late mother-in-law’s mom was a Schuyler, in direct decent from Philip. My youngest son’s middle name is Schuyler in honor of the awesome legacy!
Great legacy. I saw Philip Schuyler’s country mansion (rebuilt after Burgoyne burned the original one) near Saratoga a few years ago (exterior only), but I didn’t know much about him until I did some reading a week or two ago. Washington always had confidence in him and was upset that Congress replaced him with Gates. Schuyler narrowly escaped being kidnapped by British agents at one point in the latter part of the war.
I have to agree, even though it’s a hard choice for me, between Washington, Jefferson and Franklin.
They each brought their own particular ‘genius’ and character to the mix.
I’m constantly amazed at how very fortunate so many generations of us have been, to have had them come together at that particular time.

Thomas Jefferson was a difficult choice not to be my number one. But George Washington still has been my personal hero.Been to Monticello numerous times, always have learned/absorbed something new. Whether it was the constant restructuring of his home, his gardens, his winemaking, his writings, his concepts of 'separation of church and state...fascinating individual.
Jefferson. I find him fascinating.
Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson
IKR. He was in favor of having an elected monarchy.
IMO Telling the truth to Free Traitors, gloBULLists, and the Cheap Labor Express is not radical, it is they who are the radicals.

I agree. They haven’t gotten the memo that projection doesn’t work anymore. Maybe they’d believe it if it came from their alter-egos, the democrats. ROFL Like that’s ever gonna happen.
I mostly dunno why I waste my breath.
