As God is my witness; I thought beavers could fly.

Remember one of the Naked Gun movies, it looked like Leslie Nielsen was looking up a girls dress, and said something about a beaver, but she was on a ladder pulling a stuffed beaver out of a high shelf or trap door to the attic.

Someone once posted a pic of a road sign for Big Beaver Road. Apparently that’s a real road somewhere.

I wondered what would happen if the beaver’s box didn’t open. Oh that’s right, they’d just chew themselves out! And yes, they would be able to do this in short order.

I hate the devils! I have to routinely kill them out of a stream near my house, otherwise they destroy my trees and damn up the stream flooding the road in and out of my house. Biggest take was about 75-80lbs. I have found .22LR the best round on these devils from hell.

Apropos of nothing special, let's not forget that in the early part of WW II..we were planning to use bat bombs to firebomb Japan.

Dropping a beaver from a few hundred feet ain't no big deal

No doubt, beavers can do a lot of damage. When I was kid, we had a stream near our house. Beavers moved in, dammed it up, and flooded the road.

Game Warden came through, knocked on everyone's door, took the time to warn everyone in the area what he was about to do, and used dynamite and a detonator to blow the dam.

Beavers came back. The second and third times the road flooded, the Warden did the same - warnings and careful detonation.

However, beavers are persistent creatures. By the 6th or 7th time, the warden was more-or-less lighting the stick of dynamite off his cigarette, and tossing it out the car window at the dam as he drove by.

Eventually, an "agreement" was made with a local trapper. Trapper came in, the warden arranged to have his attention be elsewhere for awhile, and *poof*, the beavers were gone. Imagine that. :-)

You mean because of that "choke up around the breech" carry thing that he did...or did you really think a bad ass like the Colonel would carry it by the handle?

But he did kinda tote it around, as though he really didn't know what the hell to do with it.

Just like the beaver trusts his parachute to open and safely get him to the ground, you too can trust Mutual of Omaha to provide you with an insurance parachute.
