FYI, I did a search and found nothing - hope everyone enjoys this.
A nice blast from the past: this footage was apparently mis-filed and someone just found it recently.
Clearly, these guys in Idaho missed a great opportunity, by about 50 years...they didn't have video cameras inside of the boxes, to see the reaction of the beavers to getting tossed out of a plane, or the reaction when the chutes opened or when they landed.
Oh, and it would have been more humorous to have "Ride of the Valkyries" playing while showing a massive deployment of these critters.

At least they took the extra time to “sort the beavers by size and weight”...

LOL! I thought it was a scene form one of those Matt Helm movies starring Dean Martin.

Parachuting beavers Probably best to NOT do a google search on that if you're at work.

In Cincinnati, Ohio a few generations ago a radio station tried dropping live domestic turnkeys out of a helicopter at a shopping center. As I recall it did not go too well either

Beavers are cute and clever, but you don’t want one in your neighborhood. They ring all the trees, including the ones on your property, and they flood wherever they see fit to do so.
We had a young male beaver move into our goldfish pond a few years ago, looking to find a wife and set up house. He would have ringed all our trees and flooded our basement. The dogs barked at him, but no way they could catch him in the water.
The nuisance animal ranger, when I phoned, said he didn’t do that sort of thing, but that I should trap or shoot it myself. Trapping and releasing just means that you inflict that damage on someone else. So, we were working up to the point of shooting it when I guess he got tired of the dogs endlessly barking at him and moved on somewhere else.
Parachuting them into a neighborhood isn’t really very nice.
