While preppers and survivalists have grown in numbers over recent years, preparing for everything from an Electromgnetic Pulse (EMP) to a zombie apocalypse, with sites catering to those prepping on a budget, and the U.S. government continues to stock their underground facilities for an extinction level event, another segment of society is preparing for doomsday and how to survive it in style.
Billionaires are buying up space in underground bunkers, luxury bomb shelters, paying up to $35,000 just as an entry fee to the Vivos Indiana facility, but the price tag for the Vivos Europa One facility, described as a subterranean Noahs Ark will run you $3 to $5 million, and according to Robert Vicino, founder and CEO of survival prep company the Vivos Group, his clients range from top surgeons to movie stars to U.S. miltary colonels.
While Pulse.com highlights the man who builds luxury bomb shelters for the billionaires afraid of doomsday, with careful attention to detail in describing what these luxury bunkers look like and include, a few interesting points are made within the article, including the fact that catering to doomsday preppers has become a multibillion dollar business.

Preppers’ PING!!
Are these people so afraid of meeting their maker that they will pay or do anything to stay alive another decade, two? On a devastated planet?
Will those bunkers have cable?
“Something wicked this way comes.”
Like, perhaps, the first administration of President Bernie Sanders? That would scare me as well. :-(
They think a month or two and everything will ‘blow over’. What is coming may or may not be Armageddon, for none know the time only the Father. Yet the history of man as full of chaos and catastrophes that have caused such misery that some have prayed that God would bring his end. So what do you do then if it isn’t Armageddon?
A friend who’s customers are bankers in a particular state tells me that TO A MAN, these bankers are prepared with stocks of food and supplies, and readied to be the first line of defense when whatever is going to happen, begins. Wonder what these bankers know...
The totality of Netflix fits on about 100TB. That should do for as long as needed, and probably had been arranged at suitable cost. (Netflix will actually GIVE any ISP a copy free just to mitigate bandwidth costs.)
Holy cow! Those pics are unreal! My ‘Lodge’ doesn’t quite look like those...but I’m not a Billionaire either!
Will those bunkers have cable?
Yes
Will the cable be carrying any programs after the SHTF?
Probably not.
And you are the type of person that needs to go first. You think since you’ve got a gun it’s okay to just take someone else’s belongings? Sounds like a typical lib.
1. They're from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
2. They lived through some major storms in the last few years right around this time of year, including two hurricanes and an October blizzard that downed trees and caused widespread power outages.
3. They're just preparing for the next major weather event.
They may be in for a rude awakening, and that would not be pretty.
It has always been the survival of the fittest.
A lot wrong with that. For one thing people are going to know where these are. In the event of catastrophe that information is going to be worth a lot of gold to other people. The idea of these builders thank someone isn’t keeping tabs on exactly who is in these where they are and what the security is is ludicrous. Someone is doing a heck of a sales job when they sell this behalf go to these people.

New Frontier Lyrics
Yes we’re gonna have a wingding
A summer smoker underground
It’s just a dugout that my dad built
In case the reds decide to push the button down
We’ve got provisions and lots of beer
The key word is survival on the new frontier
Introduce me to that big blonde
She’s got a touch of tuesday weld
She’s wearing ambush and a french twist
She’s got us wild and she can tell
She loves to limbo, that much is clear
She’s got the right dynamics for the new frontier
Well I can’t wait ‘til I move to the city
‘til I finally make up my mind
To learn design and study overseas

It isn’t Armageddon. That is at the end of the great tribulation and it isn’t a war . It is nations gathering in the valley of Jezreel in Israel where they all die .
Tried to read it, but the tone crosses from ‘it is prudent to be prepared for possible bad events, and here is how some people have done it” to OH MY GOD THE END IS CONING SOON WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE”.
Wise and prudent people seek information and intelligence, not sensationalism.
I grew up in the 1980’s next to a group of survivalists who dug out a bunker underground, complete with concrete machine-gun ports/slits around the entrance (underneath a grass-covered roof.
They were a lot of fun until they went broke in *that* oil bust.
Today, I “know a guy” who has refurbished an old ICBM silo in Arkansas (Titan??). The only interesting thing that he’s done (re: prepping) is to have full FLIR (handheld and mounted units). OK, maybe 2 things...he also has one of those computerized rifles that only shoots when your scope is on target: 100% accuracy at long range.
I know a couple of survivalists who have water-makers, solar power, and wind-harnessing generators on their sailboats, along with fishing gear. That seems to have a lot of promise...unless they run into a military capital ship.
Most everyone else just sort of dabbles. You’ll get a few who have bug-out bags and you’ll get some optimists who plan entirely on “sheltering in place.” Maybe both sets are imagining being able to get to a remote ranch cabin.
...but bankers?! I know them well, and none are *serious* preppers. Their idea of “roughing it” is no room service at a 3 star hotel.
