For all aviation and model hobbyists on FR, this is fascinating. This is a two hour video of the world's largest HO scale model Airport assembled at Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany.
It is completely computer controlled where Aircraft of various kinds take off, land, taxi around, park on the tarmac, maneuver into and out of hangers, have emergencies such as engine fires to be met by emergency vehicles, and even have a Space Shuttle landing or a humorously over-sized bumble bee take off (around 18 minutes into the video).
The longest video of the biggest HO scale airport in the world
The attention to detail is fascinating. . .
And all I ever wanted was a model train set.
Awesome! It would be nice to see a little Entebbe sequence in the corner, too, with miniature Jihadis.
Geek neurons firing.
Space shuttle sighting at 12 min 20 sec.
The landing/takeoff mechanisms are clever.
Biggest? There are others?

I tip my hat to those that were involved in the design, fabrication, layout, interconnections, and all visual displays!
From an electronics standpoint, this might have seemed a nightmare, but it is called perserverance in what you love.
I was a an aircraft modeler (1/72nd scale) in my elementary school years, when all the kits, glue, paints and other brushes (airbrushes were not yet) were right out on the shelf ready to pick out and purchase in the department stores.
I did have an H.O. scale train set, and did get to see some elaborate model train layouts.
Thanks for posting this!!!
My go-to favorite, however, still is and always will be, Roadside America in Shartlesville, PA.
The way they have dawn breaking as Kate Smith sings God Bless America always gets me. Very patriotic.
I encourage all FReepers to stop by if they are in the area (not far from Cabela's) and spend a few dollars there to keep it going for another 80 years.
They’ll soon have to have the plane crashing when the muzzies take over Germany.
As a child this would have been my ultimate dream for Christmas....I remembered how thrilled I was when I got this for Christmas.

Except...not to pick nits...I didn't notice any thrust reversers on any of the engines on incoming aircraft. I might have missed them but I was looking for them.
Lol! That’s great!
They should have had foam shooting out of the fire trucks for the one on fire, should have had baggage trains running around, could also add a flock of geese on the runway or even a stray animal, or a hot air balloon.
On a different part helos taking off, another part to add to the fast clock is fog, lightning or high winds.
ROTFLMAO!
Thanks, I needed that!
Ya know, I actually had the exact same thought! LOL!
Why, are you a Colts and/or Chicago Cubs fan?
Well, I used to collect antique Colt revolvers. . .
