From an electronics standpoint, this might have seemed a nightmare, but it is called perserverance in what you love.
I was a an aircraft modeler (1/72nd scale) in my elementary school years, when all the kits, glue, paints and other brushes (airbrushes were not yet) were right out on the shelf ready to pick out and purchase in the department stores.
I did have an H.O. scale train set, and did get to see some elaborate model train layouts.

They should have had foam shooting out of the fire trucks for the one on fire, should have had baggage trains running around, could also add a flock of geese on the runway or even a stray animal, or a hot air balloon.
On a different part helos taking off, another part to add to the fast clock is fog, lightning or high winds.
