ITHACA, N.Y. — Kurt A. Jordan, associate professor in Cornell University’s department of anthropology and Native American studies, has found evidence through his research that suggests several parts of Ithaca lies above ancient burial grounds of Haudenosaunee Indians.

Jordan said his finding are based on a “paper trail” of books and documents, some dating centuries ago, because he didn’t have the permission to excavate in Ithaca.

DFU SONG PARODIES | 10-2003 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - CITY OF NEW ORLEANS

Welcome to a city that is evil...values that made us great they always disdain
They work hard for all their foolish causes...I have wondered, are they naive or insane?

There's a constant search for victimhood...if you're successful, you're no good
The public discourse they're sure to enflame
When it's time to take a stand...to enemies they lend a hand
'Cause America is always who is to blame

Ithaca's a city that is evil...it's evil way down deep into its core
It is filled with those who really hate their country...every one of them, it seems, is a far leftist whore

If you look around you'll see them out protesting...I guess they don't have showers because they smell
If you favor male and female marriage...they will greet you by telling you "Go to hell"

If you have a gun for your protection...that is when all their panties get in a wad
You can freak them out...it's very easy...just by telling them that you believe in God

Well we should tear it all down then. Sounds like a good idea.

Gorgeous country up that way in Upstate, NY, if you've never been. Especially this time of year (Fall foliage season). I highly recommend the following state parks: Watkins Glen State Park (first pic below), Robert H. Treman SP (2nd pic), and Taughannock Falls SP (3rd)

Oh man this is going to make their heads explode up there! Talk about a connundrum: keep the liberal bastion or honor the dead Indians. What to do, what to do?

Excuse me while I engage in a bit of schadenfreude!

And where’s Nelson from the Simpsons to go “HA-HA”?

The pre Columbian Indian cultures where ALL stone age peoples. Even the Aztecs and Maya Cultures where war like stone age men. Their where few with any written language and even fewer with more than a cursory form of civilization. Fewer still had much of what would be recognized as ‘culture’.

Perhaps as many as 100 million paleo Indians resided in the Americas prior to Columbus. As many as 90% of them where wiped out by the Columbian Exchange due to diseases like Small Pocks, Influenza and other diseases they had no immunity or physical ability to combat.

By the time the English started truly settling the North American continent, it was mostly empty of people.

Let’s all embrace the liberal solution: Demolish the town (without compensation) and the universities and return it to the redskins as a ‘sacred site’.

Kirk Cousins would be very pleased, but the Redskins still wouldn't make the playoffs.

There’s a very high suicide rate at Cornell, relative too other universities- “gorging out”- (jumping into the gorges).

Know of an instance where a kid, coming home from some beers, started walking on the footbridge railing-— fell in- never seen again.

I especially love the name “Saginaw”. One explanation is that it means “Where the Sac were” before the next tribe of indians came in and slaughtered them all.

When? Recently?

In any case, I’m sure the parks people will soon have it cleaned. Then again, they should find the SOBs that did it and have THEM clean it. After all, the idiots usually put their personal signatures on their crap.

There is a cave in Missouri called Onondaga. Billboards for 50 miles along highway 40.

So far as I remember my teaching from college, the whites were pretty much a “calming influence” on the region.

You studied that in American History? Neat. I was raised in N.Y. state and IIRC all of 7th grade was New York history. It was so interesting — especially the indian tribes and nations.

If Ithaca residents have unhappy spirits under their feet, it explains a lot. My formerly-conservative cousin settled there and he’s gone over to the dark side. Family reunions are interesting.

Oh, that’s funny. Lots of liberals live in Ithaca and the property values are high, so I suspect this is a case of NIMBY. Should be amusing to watch.

I remember that. We had to draw the shape of NY on a sheet of tablet paper and we were graded on it. We mapped out all of the history we studied. It was great.
